Elizabeth was still staring out of the window when it got dark. She had been transfixed by the view from the window since they started driving, and Sawyer was not sure if it was because she found it new and interesting, or because she did not want to get caught up in a heavy conversation. Jonas stopped in the parking lot of a grocery store and told the others he would be as quick as possible before he left them. Elizabeth yawned, and Sawyer could see that she was exhausted even though she would never admit it. He moved a little closer to her and put his arm around her, but she didn’t look away from the window. When she yawned again he kissed her cheek, and she smiled and moved to huddle close to him and rest her head on his chest. He wished they had some privacy – he appreciated Jo
