Jonas looked towards the bed Francesca was lying in when a movement caught his eye.
He was close to falling asleep, but he didn’t want to leave Francesca to wake up alone in a strange place and he would not have been able to sleep if he left her alone, anyway.
Karoline seemed satisfied that Francesca would be fine, and that for now the only thing she needed was to rest and warm up again, and so she left Jonas alone with Francesca for the most part, only coming in to check that things were OK periodically and without trying to start a conversation.
