Elizabeth went over to the window again and peered out at the snowy forest. She wasn’t expecting anything to be any different, and it was dark enough that she could barely see anything, but she had spent most of the past few days hiding herself away in the bed and she was desperate to go outside.
It didn’t exactly look welcoming or inviting, but it was better than being stuck inside.
