Elizabeth shifted in the driver’s seat of her mother’s car. She was still on the insurance, something else she had learned from the well arranged information her mother had collated for her, and the navy blue Honda Civic was significantly less impractical that Sawyer’s car. She had decided to drive to make sure the battery on the car didn’t need a jump after being left idle for so long, and because she knew every street around her old home and she knew exactly which routes were the best to take to get to any of the stores nearby. When they pulled up in the parking lot of the grocery store she shut off the engine but remained sat in the seat. “Is everything OK?” She hadn’t realized she was staring blankly at the steering wheel and it startled her when Sawyer spoke to her. “Yeah.”
