Chapter 9

(Winter POV) “Hey guys! Sorry we are late!” I shouted as we ran to them. “No problem.” Amera said as she smiled at me. Next to her was a black hair guy with intimidating gold eyes. He was somewhat buff but not a disgusting one. He looked strict and honestly if it weren’t for Amera wrapping her arm around his, I would have thought he was their bodyguard or something. “This is Dylan” she said introducing him to Aiden and me. “Hai! I’m Winter and this is Aiden” I said as he nodded. “I have heard a lot about you from Alan. So much that my ears bleed” he said as Amera elbowed him in the stomach. “OW!” he said rubbing his stomach. “What is wrong with you women” he said as she rolled her eyes. “Ready to go?” Alan asked as I turned my gaze to him. He was staring at me and just like always my heart beat fast and I blushed looking away. The ride to the beach was long but we enjoyed a lot mainly because of Dylan and his goofiness. Unlike his appearance, he is very sweet and funny, which was quite amusing to watch. I guess he is just the apt example for ‘Don’t judge a book by its cover’. But I rather have him sing in his head. God! This guy sings like a dying cat. “Umm we have past the beach” Aiden voiced gaining my attention. I looked out as the car turns left away from the beach. “Relax. Have some faith in me. We are going to the beach” Alan smirked as Aiden glared. I sighed and shook my head before looking out the window. He stopped in front of a gate and he took a remote from car dash and pressed a button. The gate opened and he drove in. I widen my eyes as I slide the window down staring at the sight in front of me. Once the car stop, Aiden and I got out and stared at each other before looking at the house in front of us. Scratch that. This is a freaking mansion. A big a*s house with a fountain entrance. “Just how freaking rich are you?” I asked as I walked up the steps. Entering the mansion, I grasp at the beautiful architecture. I suddenly felt like royalty just by looking at this place. “Wow now that is what I call a dream house” Aiden said as I nodded in agreement. “Do you like it” a whisper came next to me making me jump. “Jesus. You scared me.” I said as I looked at a smirking Alan. “So what do you think?” he asked. “It’s beautiful” I said as he smiled at me. “You girls go change into your swimsuit and meet us at the beach.” He said pointing upstairs. “Don’t tell me your own a private beach” Aiden said as Alan smirk. “Damn, bruh. I’m jealous” Aiden said whistling. “You can use it too you know” Alan said as Aiden’s eyes widen. “What? Really?” he asked. “Of course. You are my friend. When you have a date with a girl, I will let you lent this beach” Alan said as Aiden stood still gaping. “Well at least they are not fighting.” Amera said as I raised my eyebrow. “They are literally trying to roast each other” I said pointing at the bickering boys. “Trust me it can get much worse” she said kissing her boyfriends cheek before dragging me upstairs. “I still thing that this is too small for me” I said as I tried adjusting the beaded string neck of the two piece swimming suit. “Don’t pull the beads too much. It’s perfect fit and you look sexy” Amera said as I roll my eyes. “Finally you girls came” Dylan said as he ran to Amera and kissed her cheek as she giggled. “Change” a voice came from behind. It was a dark one and I felt shiver run through my spine. I turned as I saw Alan glaring at me from head to top. “Excuse me?” I said raising my eyebrow. “I agree with him. Go change” Aiden said coming forward. “Um no way” I said glaring at them both. “Change” Alan said again but I crossed my hand and stood their stubbornly. “Amera is wearing like mine and there seems to be no problem in that” I said as he growled. “Hey don’t involve me.” She said as Dylan laugh. “I’m not going to change” I shouted before running to the sea. ************** “Ready for the date?” Alan grinned as he grabbed my hand. I blushed and cleared my throat looking away and nodding. My heart was beating fast and I felt like a nervous wreck. I looked at Aiden who was glaring at our tangled hand but he gave me a small smile nevertheless. “Let's get this started” Alan said as he took me to his car. (Aiden POV) “Alright now that they are off to their date, let’s watch a movie” Amera cheered. “You guys go ahead. I’m going to hit the bed early” I said as they stared at me. “Ok” Dylan said as I waved and went to the room they gave me. Once in the room I slump down the wall and grabbed my hair as tears filled my eyes. “No! Don’t cry dammit!” I scolded myself as I hit the back of my head to the wall I was leaning on. The image of them looking at each other happily filled my head. They look so happy and in love. Why cant I be the one who makes her smile like that? I don’t know when I fell asleep but I woke up with a terrible back ache. I walked out of the room and made my way to the kitchen for some water but stopped when I heard Amera and Dylan talking. The TV was on and I hid behind the wall as I tried to concentrate more on their voice. “I really hope she will accept him” Amera said as Dylan sighed. “I hope so too. But I wouldn’t be surprised if she hates him. May be the mate bond will help loosen up the anger but still what he did was undeniably the cruelest thing you can do” he said. What are they talking about? What did Alan do that is not forgivable? “What are you guys talking about?” I said coming out of my hideout. The both stared at me in surprise as I looked at them with no emotion. “What wrong did Alan do? Why won’t Winter forgive him?” I asked as they look at each other nervously. “Alright. We will tell you. But please calm down” Dylan said sighing as I nodded and sat in the sofa in front of them. “Alan... Alan is actually Winter’s ex-boyfriend, James. And he will reveal that to her today” Amera said as my eyes widen. “WHAT?!”
