CHAPTER 6

Charles stood up from his bed and kept Nancy's photo on the headboard. He went to take his bath, and after that, he retired back to his bedroom and dressed up in a white robe. Charles walked to his study room and busied himself with work. As sleep was far from his eyes, and although he knew that he was getting married in two days' time, he was still a businessman and running so many multimillion-dollar companies and properties. So he took his time and did his own cross-checking on his company records and growth with his computer. Meanwhile, his mother, Mrs. Kira Alejandro had contacted her assistant, Miller Robert on a phone call. "Hello, Miller." "Good evening, your Excellency." "I want you to find out what this lady is up to for me. Note to keep a track on her movement and send some security men to follow her about too." "Okay, your Excellency," Miller responded. "Anything else that you need me to do?" Miller asked. "No, that's all. And the job starts now." "Surely, your Excellency, good night." "Good night too," Mrs. Kira sighed, as her phone call with Miller finally ended. And she knew that she could always trust him to give her clean records, as he has never failed her. She finally walked out from her room to welcome her husband, and although she has had her dinner with her son, she still wanted to be with her husband before the night completely fell. Nancy woke up in her bedroom and she felt sour having dreamt about the wedding and she indeed happily got married to the president's son. Nancy knew that most of her dreams usually come true, and she frowned as she sat up on her bed and thought about the gains, if she eventually agreed to marry Charles. "No, I cannot become his wife," Nancy cursed, and she carefully slid out from her bed, and she walked to her bathroom to bathe. She brushed her teeth and took her bath, and then she finally stepped out and wore a black long gown. "No, let me wear trousers and a top, so it will be easy for me to escape..But how do I do this..?" Nancy frowned. "Well, since the wedding is tomorrow, let me find out if mom and dad have purchased all that I will need. They cannot possibly purchase my wedding gown too." Nancy quickly walked to search her box of clothes for her travel document, and she kept everything into a small red purse, as she wore her pants and bra with the clothes that she had taken out. Nancy walked back to the closet and she took out a blue long-sleeve top and black trousers that hugged tightly to her legs and brought out her sexy behind. And she wore them and finally walked up to carry her red purse, she then walked to her mirror to comb her blonde hair. Nancy smiled at her reflection once more, and she stared away, and saw that the clock was after 8 am. "2 hours to go," She chapped, and she heard a gentle knocking on her room door. She was already ready and leaving the house, she walked up to the huge wooden door and pulled it open, then she met the gaze of a maid standing there. "Good morning, Nancy," The maid greeted her first, and Nancy asked her, "Morning, what do you want?" "Breakfast is ready, but I'm here to tidy up your room," The maid announced, and Nancy replied, "Okay. I'm already leaving, so do it neatly and don't scatter any of my things in my room." "Okay," The maid in a blue gown responded, and Nancy carefully walked downstairs, and she saw that her father had guests, but stealing quick glances to stare at the guests' faces, she saw they were rather elderly men, like her father's age-mates and probably his business associates. Nancy paused and greeted them, "Good morning, sirs. Good morning, dad." "Good morning, Nancy, how was your night?" Senator Logan Marlon asked, as he smiled at his daughter. He was seated on the living room couch and was previously discussing with his business partners, and he could see the men were also smiling at Nancy, as the wedding was already the following day. "Fine, father, where's mom? I want to have my breakfast really quickly as I want to go out to do some shopping," Nancy said, and her father replied, "Your mother is in the kitchen." "Okay, dad." Nancy was glad that her father didn't object to her leaving the house. He's very busy with his business partners, and she knew that everything to him was business. "You have a very beautiful daughter, senator. And if President Nolan Alejandro's son hasn't chosen her, I really would have loved to have her as my sixth wife. Is she still a virgin?" Nancy heard one of the elderly men ask her father, and she paused and stared back at him icly. She felt irritated that the old man had his old brown eyes on her. She met their gazes on her, and she heard her father reply, "No. Nancy's too young to be your sixth wife, Senator Leon, and even if Charles hadn't chosen her, I cannot give my only daughter to you." Nancy sighed out in relief, and she stared at the silly old man named Senator Leon Clayton, but she saw him lick his lips, and he said, "How about I give you 30 billion and all my properties in Atlanta, just let me have your daughter as my wife?" Nancy's eyes widened in shock at the huge amount, and she wondered how much Charles had paid to have her, but she was interrupted by her mother, who stepped out from the kitchen, and she heard her father respond, "Don't you dare to mention anymore, Senator.. That's enough, as Nancy is not for trade. Even if you offer me 100 billion, I still cannot give my daughter to you as you're older than me and more old to be her grandfather." "But I'm still good in bed," Senator Leon shamelessly responded, and even Nancy's mother stared at the old man in shock. Senator Logan sighed and said, "That's enough, and back to our business conversation." "The business will be on hold, except you allow me to have your daughter as my sixth wife, instead of President Nolan's son. And from my findings about Charles Alejandro, he is a prostitute, and I'm sure your daughter cannot stand such a childish, immature man to become her husband. As she needs a good man to become her bridegroom and to groom her well." "Leave my house, Senator Leon Clayton. I appreciate your cancellation of our business deal." Nancy saw her father point to his living room exit door, and the other men in black suits wanted to speak, but Senator Leon cut them all, as he said, "Very well then." Senator Leon stood up from the black couch, to take his leave, as his assistant followed him, but his eyes still traveled and met with Nancy. Nancy felt irritated all over, but she was glad that her father didn't accept the old man's proposal, and more likely, she was surprised that Charles hadn't given her parents anything to have her as his bribe. But she really didn't like him, and she plotted to still move on with her escape plans. "You shouldn't have sent Senator Leon away. As we need him to win the local parties," Nancy heard the other three men in black suits still seated in their living room couches speak to her father. "This meeting has come to an end. And I made a terrible mistake by organizing this meeting here. It will be on hold until next week and after the presidential wedding has come to an end," Senator Logan finally responded, and all the men in black suits stood up, as they had no other option than to leave. Nancy sighed after they all left, and she walked to the dining table to take her seat, and her mother's maids stepped out from the kitchen and dished out her breakfast to her in front. Nancy was conscious of the time, and so she watched her parents settle across from her to have their breakfast too.
