CHAPTER NINE

JASMINE POV

I have been banging on this noise maker's door for almost ten minutes, and he hasn't opened up. I badly wanted to break down the door, and I will if he doesn't open up immediately.

I wonder what he is doing that he can't hear that someone is knocking on his door. I am sure it's all because of the loud music, that's why he can't hear me.

But that didn't stop me from still knocking on his door till he finally opened it.

He stood right in front of me with a towel hanging on his waist, showing his v sign. His body was dripping water, which means he just got out from the bathroom. I looked up at his face so I won't be distracted.

“Hey neighbour, what are you doing here again?” he smiled, looking happy to see me, but I am not happy to see him.

I pushed him out of my way, making him look surprised as I walked into his house.

“Excuse me, beautiful neighbor, but don't you think it's inappropriate to just walk into someone's house without their permission? This is trespassing, and you can be arrested for that. Or do you want anything I can help you with?” he shouted behind me because of his loud music.

I heard him, but I completely ignored him as I was looking around. I came for one thing and I'm not going to leave till I have found it.

I walked around his well furnished house till I found the damn loud speaker.

I walked straight to it and then picked it up before throwing it down to the ground.

“WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU DOING?” He shouted.

I began to hit the speakers with my leg and my strength. As I kept hitting it, it broke into several pieces.

I stopped and looked so satisfied as it was now destroyed and finally the whole place was so quiet and peaceful.

“You.....” he started, but I turned to look at him.

“Next time you try to disturb me, I will do worse than this. Take this as my last warning.” I said before pushing him off again as I walked away.

But before I could reach the door, he held my hand and pushed me back.

My eyes went wide open in shock.

I wasn't shocked because I didn't hear him but I was so shocked when I felt his touch.

I am not supposed to feel sparks coming from his touch.

I pushed him away.

“Hey first of all, you walked into my house without my permission, then the next thing you did was to destroy my property. Don't you think I deserve an explanation and also an apology.” he said.

At first, I was still bothered about what I just felt, but his words made me get irritated.

“You have the nerve to ask for an explanation and also an apology from me? Are dense or stupid not knowing what you did?” I asked him.

“What? Did you just call me dense and stupid?” he looked shocked.

I let out an emotionless chuckle.

“You have answered my question. Clearly, you are so stupid. If you had listened properly to what I said, you won't be acting like this. You need to have your ears and brain checked. That's all I can tell you.” I mocked him.

“Do you know who the hell you are calling stupid?” he asked, looking so furious.

“A human being, of course. A dumb and stupid human being. Look, I really don't have time for all this. I came earlier to nicely tell you to turn down the volume of your music, yet you refused to listen. Just look at the time. I need to have a quiet night. Yet you almost ruined it for me, so I had no other choice but to ruin your speakers.” I said, looking at me right into his eyes.

“Do you know I can get you arrested for this?” he asked.

“I know, and do you know I don't care if you do? I am not scared of getting arrested because I can explain myself and pay fine. You, on the other hand, won't be safe because you are actually the law breaker here. Now I have to enjoy my night peacefully. Excuse me.” I said and walked out, banging his door so hard.

Damn that was so cool.

I love how I stood up for myself back there. That should teach him a lesson.

I am sure he will regret me coming over to the neighbourhood.

I walked into the house and locked the door before going to my room.

I laid on the bed and beg to think of what just happened in that house.

Why the hell did I feel those sparks?

What the hell is the reason why?

He isn't my mate. He can't be my mate.

He is a human being and not a werewolf.

So why did I feel that sparks.

Or could it be that it is something entirely different? Or could it be because he was standing half naked, so I got confused?

Or maybe it's just in my head.

I might have felt another thing that is not sparks.

I shake my head.

Now is not the time to think about someone like him.

I should sleep and forget about him. He isn't worth my time.

I closed my eyes and took deep breaths to help me to sleep, but it wasn't working. I took a hot bath and dressed in light clothing, hoping it would help me out, but I still couldn't sleep till it was past 4 am.

I woke up acting all grumpy. And it's all because of that stupid neighbour.

I stood up from the bed and walked to the bathroom to brush my teeth before walking to the kitchen to look for what to eat.

After eating, I decided to go out for a stroll so I could feel better.

I dressed into Ava's sports wear before stepping out of the house.

I smiled as the sun hit my face. Indeed, it was a perfect day to be alive and free from my past.

I began to walk with a smile on my face.

“Good morning, my beautiful and aggressive neighbour.”

Immediately, my smile dropped, and I had a scorn on my face as I turned and saw his ugly smiling face. Why is he here, and why is it his face I have to see first? Why would my day begin this way?

Could this be a sign of bad luck?

“What is good about the morning, stupid neighbour?” I asked him.

“Well I slept so well like a little baby. That's what's good about my own morning. How about yours? I hope you saw me in your dreams?” he asked, still smiling.

I was this close to letting out a growl out of frustration.

Why does he have to tell me he slept well when I had just a little sleep? And it's all his fault.

“Don't you have any important thing to do? Kindly go your separate way and leave me alone.” I said.

“Having a conversation and a walk with you is important to me. Well I must say, I am interested in you. Like I have never met any woman who is this beautiful, brave, and also rough like you are. To be honest, I want to know more about you.”

I rolled my eyes at him before saying.

“Well that's so sad because I on the other hand, I am not interested in who the f**k you are. I don't want to have any business with you. I just wish for you to stay far away from me. When I mean far, I mean very far away from.”

“Oh that's so bad because I can't stay far from you. Incase you can't remember, I am staying so close to you so there is no way you can stay far away from me. Come on now, we can be friends since we are neighbors already. What do you say?” he was still smiling.

“I say hell no. I don't want to be friends with you. So get lost from my sight.” I glared at him before walking in front.

Wait why am I leaving just like that? I need to confirm sometime important.

I stopped and turned.

As I walked to him, he began to slowly move backwards.

“Hey you can just stand over there and we can talk. Why are you coming close to me? Hey stay back. Don't hit me or else you will be arr.....”

“Stop being a p***y and shut the f**k up. I never said I was going to hurt you so stop being scared.” I rolled my eyes again.

“Oh I thought you were going to do something nasty to me.” he said as he stood still..

This dude is really a fool. What if I was just lying to him and I was definitely going to hit him? He didn't think about it, he just stopped after listening to me.

What a dense human.

I got to him and grabbed his hand.

He immediately pushed my hand away.

“Oh my goodness what are you doing? I know you are so bold and crazy but I didn't know you will like to show affection in the streets where people can see us.” he said acting like he was feeling shy.

What an act. He looks so dramatic right now. If only he will put this talents into acting. He talks alot and he is dramatic so it will suit him so well.

“Shut you. Don't think highly of yourself, stupid.”

I closed my eyes to focus as I held his hand again.

I felt it again. This time it felt so real.

I almost let out a smile as I felt it running through my whole body.

Then I quickly snapped out. I opened my eyes and looked at him right in the eyes. I can't explain how we got this close.

The moment my eyes locked to his, every thing around us felt so still and there was no noise around us.

It was just us. We were the only ones who existed in here.

This signs only means one thing.

This stupid neighbor who is a human is my mate.

The moon goddess has to be kidding right now because there is no way all this is real. This has to be an expensive prank or a test. It should be anything but real.

This noise maker can't be my second chance mate.
