Daniel laughed.
"You can't just say it flatly like that and expect me to believe you. You need to sign a contact with me. That's when I'll be assured that you'll marry me for real." He suggested.
"Whatever you do."
"When do we tell the kids?"
"Not now, please. I'll be the one to tell them." I stood up, my face tear-stained.
"I'll make you very happy, Alyssa. I promise." He whispered huskily as he stepped closer. I stayed calm.
"If you want me to be happy then leave me alone."
"No. I can't." He cupped my cheeks lovingly.
He was about to brush his lips on mine but I turned my face from him, making him brush his lips against my cheeks.
