I shower quickly and pull on an olive green sundress for the day. We normally go to the Moon Goddess temple on Sundays, so I want to look my best, but my casual best. I fix my hair into loose curls with half of them pinned up at the crown of my head and I apply my makeup lightly. I ran downstairs with Precious in my arms excited to tell everyone about the dream I had last night.
Easy, Mia. Did you already forget what Selene told you?
You’re right, Honey. I had better only tell Dad about the dream.
“Happy birthday, Mia.” Says my dad as I walk through the door. “You slept quite a bit last night. Are you okay?” The worry is evident in his voice and his eyes.
“Yes, dad, I’m okay. Do you mind if we make my first shift family only and did you know that Precious is mom reincarnated?”
