Water Park

ASHTONS POV.

‘’ are you sure you are alright ‘’ Chester asks me for the tenth time that day.

I don't know what to say or do to make him believe that I am fine. I am not going to let my stupid father get to me. If he wants to be done with me, I am happy and glad.

‘’ I am fine Chester ‘’ I say slowly.

He raises an eyebrow and looks at me hesitantly. I know he cares but I really just want him to go out and have some fun. He doesn’t need to be cooped up in this room with me.

‘’ Can we go out to the pool ‘’ he asks.

I shake my head and wave my hands in refusal. ‘’ no....but you could if you want to ‘’

It’s been two days since the incident with my dad and I haven’t left the room. He was true to his words and he hasn’t said a word to me. Whenever he comes into the room, he doesn’t even look my way.

It’s not like I care, I just wish he’d let me go back home since I am not wanted in this stupid island. There is nothing here for me.

‘’I'm not going without you ‘’ Chester whines.

I roll my eyes at how childish he is acting. The guy hasn’t even known me for that long and he is acting like my twin brother.

‘’ Just go have fun kid ‘’

‘’ I'm not a kid ‘’ he says.

I chuckle and he looks at me satisfied ‘’ that’s the first time you’ve laughed in the past two days ‘’ he points out.

I smiled ‘’ yeah ‘’

Chester is a good kid and I can’t come to hate him. Although his mother is a real b***h, He is so different from her.

‘’ Come on ash ‘’ Chester pleads.

I know what he wants and I really just want him to be happy ‘’ fine....but for an hour ‘’

He jumps up from the excitement and I smile. I am glad I made him happy. He had done so much for me these past few days and I just wanna repay his kindness.

I get up from the bed and take off my pajamas. I walk to my dresser and bring out shorts and a blue shirt. I put them on and wear a pair of loafers.

‘’ You ready ‘’ I say to Chester.

He beams ‘’ yep ‘’ he says popping the p.

We walk out of the room together and take the elevator to the last floor. Chester keeps rambling on and on about how much fun we are going to have but I find that hard to believe. I am doing this for him and I don't think it’s gonna be fun.

We walk out the building and to the adventure pool which is a 5000 square foot swimming pool. It has slides and there is a lagoon style pool. There is a spacious deck for sunning, and enough lounge chairs, palm trees and a pavilion when in need of shade.

‘’ Those slides look like fun ‘’ Chester commented as he pointed to them.

I nodded ‘’ you should try em ‘’ I suggest.

He looks at it once more but shakes his head. I know he wants to but he just doesn’t want to leave me alone.

‘’ you should go....I’ll wait right here for you ‘’ I assure him.

He looks at me and smiles suddenly ‘’ are you sure ‘’

I nod and he hugs me and runs along to the line. He takes one last look and grins. It feels like he is warning me to wait for him.

I walk over to one of the chairs and take a seat. I’ll just wait for Chester and then we’ll go back to the room. I lie back and close my eyes. The sun hits me and I enjoy the warmth.

‘’ Hi ‘’

I hear someone say. I recognize the voice without opening my eyes which makes me frown. I am in no mood to interact with this guy. I really don't know why he can’t just take a hint.

‘’ Hello ‘’ he says again.

The sun suddenly disappears and I can tell he is in front of me. ‘’ I am not in the mood ‘’ I say without opening my eyes.

‘’ Why not? ‘’ I can almost imagine him with that stupid smirk on his face.

‘’ I don't have to explain myself to you. I don't know you and you don't know me. So why don't you just walk away and forget about starting a conversation with me ‘’

I don't hear a reply from him which makes me smile from the satisfaction. I guess he is gone. I sit up and open my eyes.

‘’ Guess you thought I left ‘’ he says with a smirk.

He is sitting on a chair beside me and he doesn’t look like he is going anywhere soon. I look at his clothes and they are the same as the last time I saw him. This really has me curious but I don't know how to ask him.

‘’ Are you staring at my clothes ‘’ he asks as if reading my mind.

‘’ no...I was just umm’’ I say.

I feel my face heat up in embarrassment. I can’t believe he noticed, I don't want him to think I am some snob. Why the hell do I care what he thinks of me?

‘’ it’s cool bro......yeah they are the same clothes ‘’ he answers for me.

I raise a brow. Why is he wearing the same outfit? I don't know why I care. This is the same guy I told to take a hike.

‘’ Can we forget about your outfit ‘’ I say rudely.

He smiles ‘’ fine with me......even if I told you, you won’t believe me ‘’

I find what he said weird but I brush it off. I am not here to make friends and I don't know why this dude is bent on being one.

‘’ are you gonna swim ‘’ he says as he faces the pool.

I shake my head and he looks at me curiously. His eyes were glowing. He looks different from the last time I saw him. It’s like he is happy and I can’t help but think its cause of me.

A woman walks over the chair that he is seating on; she drops her bag beside it and brody stands up and she sits down immediately. The lady looks at me and smiles.

I don't know why he stood up so I ask ‘’ do you know her ‘’

He shakes his head ‘’ Nah ‘’

I furrow my brows. I find him weird and whenever he is around, weird things happen. I don't know why but it feels strange.

‘’ Then why did you stand up ‘’

He shrugs ‘’ just wanted to be polite ‘’

I let it go, even though I didn’t believe brody. I could sense that the guy was lying but I didn’t care. We aren’t even friends and I want to keep it like that.

‘’ Since you aren’t swimming, can I take you somewhere ‘’ he asks hopefully.

I shake my head, I don't want to go anywhere with him. Like I said before I don't know him and he doesn’t know me, so I don't understand why he wants to hang out with me.

‘’ please [, don't say no ‘’ brody begged me.

I stand up from the seat when I notice the lady give me a weird look. I really don't know what her problem is.

I walk beside brody and he leads me out the gate of the park ‘’ does this mean you are gonna come with me ‘’ brody asks once we are outside.

I nod even though I am still reluctant to go. I don't think it is a good Idea but I also think an adventure would be nice.

‘’ So where are we going ‘’ I ask him

‘’ Anywhere you want ‘’ he says after a few minutes.

This has me confused because I actually thought he knew where he was taking me. It seems like he just wants to spend some time with me.

‘’ why did you say you wanna take me somewhere’’ I question him.

He shrugs and puts his hands in his jeans pocket. We walk through the path of the woods and I smile at the surroundings. I have always been a fan of nature and the atmosphere. It’s so soothing and I know it might be weird but I love it.

‘’ So Ashton......why haven’t I seen you around these past few days ‘’ he asks.

I look at him and frown. I find it disturbing that he has been looking around for me. He is kinda creeping me out.

‘’ Is it really any business of yours ‘’

He frowns ‘’ I was just worried ‘’ I can sense the honesty in his voice.

I just hope he isn’t falling for me. He looks like he kinda likes me and I remember my conversation with Chester. What if he is gay?

BRODY’S POV

‘’Are you gay ‘’ Ashton’s asks me.

I have been outside his door for two days and he didn’t even come out of his room for anything. I got so worried but I knew I couldn’t do anything about it.

His father had come in a few times but I didn’t hear any arguments. I was really worried about him, not just because I need him to find out what is going on with me.

‘’ I am not gay ‘’ I say with a chuckle.

I know I might seem gay, but I don't think I am. I can’t remember anything about myself. I wouldn’t know if I was but I don't think I am.

‘’ You seem gay ‘’ he adds.

I shrug; I don't think I seem gay. I know he won’t think so if he knows the real reason I am acting clingy.

‘’ Why do you say ‘’I ask curiously.

He smiles ‘’ well.....you are kinda acting like you are in love with me or something ‘’ he murmurs lowly.

I grin and nod ‘’ no I'm not......just trying to be friendly ‘’.

He remains quiet and looks ahead at the trail. We keep walking until we reach the spot he was in the last time.

‘’ So what are we going to now ‘’ he asks as he sits beside a tree.

I shrug and sit beside him. I have no idea and I don't want him to think I am boring. It’s just that I can’t do anything and I don't want to creep him out.

‘’ Why don't we just sit in the silence ‘’ he suggests after a few minutes.

I smile and nod; he lies back and closes his eyes. I look at his features and I can’t help but stare at his perfect bone structure.

He is very good looking and I don't know why I think so. It must be the question he asked me earlier, it’s got me confused. I shouldn’t be having these thoughts. I am not gay.

‘’s**t ‘’ he jumps up.

I look at him; we had been here for a few hours and at one point Ashton fell asleep. I didn’t want to wake him up because he looked so peaceful.

‘’ What time is it ‘’ he asks.

I shrug because I don't know the time. I don't have a watch and even if I did, I don't think it would’ve been working. Since I'm nonexistent and all.

He frowns and brings his phone out of his pocket. He unlocks it and looks at the time ‘’ oh shit.....I gotta go ‘’

I stand up and follow him hurriedly ‘’ I’ll go with you ‘’ I tell him.

He continues his walk and I follow him ‘’ so where are you rushing off to’’ I ask him.

He slows down ‘’ I left my brother in the park and I kinda promised to wait for him ‘’ he explains as he picks up his pace.

We walk out of the woods until we reach the water park. It is already dark and I find it hard to believe that the boy would wait up for ash.

‘’ are you sure he is still there ‘’I ask ash.

He shrugs and keeps walking; we finally see a figure sitting on one of the lounge chairs. Ashton runs up to him and stands beside him.

‘’ I'm so sorry Chester ‘’ he apologizes immediately.

Chester frowns but smiles to let him know that he isn’t upset ‘’it’s cool...so where were you ‘’ he asks him.

Ashton seems relieved ‘’ I was with brody ‘’ he points to me.

His kid brother looks at the direction he is pointing at and I realize that he is going to think ash is crazy when he doesn’t see me.

‘’ Who ‘’ Chester asks confused.

Ashton looks over at me and smiles ‘’ he is standing right there ‘’

Chester frowns ‘’ there is no one day ‘’

Ash frowns this time ‘’ stop messing with me ‘’

I decide to intervene, I don't want to prolong it anyways, but what’s the harm in telling him the truth earlier than planned.

‘’ He can’t see me ‘’ I confess.
