I help the omegas tidy around the pack house and then head up to bed.
I hear laughing outside and I go to see if it’s Cory.
I don’t just find Cory, I also find Noah outside.
“What’s going on I ask trying to hold my laughter in, they are both in a right state from drinking.”
“Right, Hannah you need to mate with Cory right now.”
My brother laughing at himself.
“Really?”
“You stink of beer.” I say.
“Can you ask the omegas to set up a room babe?” Cory asks me.
“Lena has refused to have him in this state.”
“I’ll make up his bed, all the omegas are in bed now, and please stop referring them as omegas they are a park of this pack no matter their rank, so if you get him to the living room and get him a cup of black coffee he needs it”.
“How do I make coffee over here again?”
I laugh.
“You really don’t know huh?”
“No we have a machine that makes ours.”
“But don’t you have to fill it up?” I can’t help but laugh about how clueless he really is.
“I’ll do it myself” I say as I laugh at him.
“Hannah?”
Hmm strange for him to call me Hannah.
“Yeah” I call back.
“I’m sorry he’s like this we don’t know what’s happened.”
“Lena is really not impressed with us at all.”
I make Noah a cup of coffee and set up one of the guest rooms in the pack house for him.
I grab my phone and call Lena.
“Hey Hannah is everything okay?”
“Hey Lena.”
“I have Noah here with me and Cory.”
“Is he okay?”
“I have been worried sick since he stormed off and wasn’t answering his phone or mind link.”
“Cory told me you wasn’t letting him back and you was pissed off with him.”
“I was a little bit pissed off with Noah, he went out hours ago and he was in a right state that was about two hours ago.”
“They did say they were going on for a few drinks.”
“It can’t have taken them two hours to walk across to you could it?” Lena asks.
“I don’t know. They have only been here about 10 minutes or so.”
“Hannah I’m sorry I should have called you.”
“No Lena it’s fine, I’ve made him coffee and a bed up for the night.”
“Maybe you should come by tomorrow and sort this out.”
“Yeah of course I will come by tomorrow.”
“Oh and on another note can you tell me why your hounding Nora?”
“She’s so upset that you want her to work with the omegas.”
“When she’s six months pregnant and has Cindy to care for?”
“I am a little bit pissed off with you.”
“I’m sorry I will sort it out okay?”
“I’m sure we can find something for her to do while she has children to care for I didn’t know you felt so strongly for her Hannah.”
“Well if I’m honest Cindy stole my heart at the Alpha Ceremony.”
“Also Nora was the only person to say Happy Birthday to me.”
“Cindy she brought me a Cherokee Rose and made me a card it was beautiful.”
“That’s lovely Han, listen leave it with me and I will sort it okay?”
“Okay.”
“I’ll see you in the morning then?”
“Yeah see you tomorrow.”
“Han? I overheard your conversation.”
“I didn’t know about that he told me Lena said he couldn’t go back there.”
“Cory I ain’t bothered about that I called her because of what she said to Nora.”
“Just help me get Noah to bed okay?”
“Then you can go to bed yourself.”
“Will you come with me?”
“Yes of course I will.”
We fetch Noah from the living room and place him in bed.
“Who’s on night patrol” Cory asks.
“Josh and Greyson” I say back.
“Who’s on call?” he asks.
“Lily, Thomas and Leo.”
“So who do we choose?”
“Thomas or Leo?”
“Well Thomas has just had a little girl so Leo?”
“Right I’ll mind link him now if he don’t answer I’ll call.”
“Okay I leave him to it and head off to bed.”
Cory POV
“I mind link Leo.”
“Hello Alpha.”
“Hi Leo,”
“I know your on call but we have a very drunk Alpha Noah.”
“Is it possible for you sit outside and watch over him?”
“I’ll pay you double the amount I normally pay and give you two days off.”
“Okay Alpha I’m on my way.”
When Leo turns up, I say to him, “any problems don’t hesitate to call me okay?”
“Okay Alpha.”
I nod my head and leave heading up to bed to find my Luna.
When I get upstairs she’s already in her pyjamas and in bed watching American horror story.
“Babe?”
“Yeah” she calls,
“Are you sure everything is okay” I ask her.
“Yeah everything fine.”
“You have a session tomorrow at two thirty babe okay?”
“Yes babe are you coming with me?”
“Yes, I am, I like to be with you.”
“We haven’t spent much time together as your Alpha duty’s keep calling you away.”
“But that being said I think you have really adjusted well to life in the UK.”
“I really didn’t think you would.”
I smile at her but I know something is bothering her.
“What’s wrong baby?” I ask her.
“Are you mad at me?”
“No.”
“I don’t think I have it in me to be mad at you anymore babe why would you even ask that?”
“It’s just that I uh, I’m not officially your Luna, and we haven’t even thought about the mating process.”
I see her flicking her eyelashes like she’s trying to stop the tears from falling.
“Princess people go years and years without even finding there mates.”
“I am so lucky to have you by my side, as much as I would love to mate I will wait for you.”
“So how does Noah know that we haven’t mated?”
“He can smell it, a lot of them could but I told them I wanted to wait because I love you.”
“So you don’t want to?”
“If I offered you s*x on a plate you wouldn’t want it?”
“God you English are weird with your wording.”
She laughs and says “yeah and you Americans call your trousers, pants so who’s the strange one?”
she laughs and I can’t help but laugh along with her.
“Something is still not right though.” Hannah says.
“Actually there is a really strong stink of something that I can’t put my finger on.” Hannah says
My phone starts ringing.
“Yeah okay we will come down thanks Leo.”
“Hannah it’s Noah somethings wrong.”
We race down the stairs to see how he is.
“Hey Noah are you okay” she whispers.
Hannah takes his hand as he’s being sick she rubs his back and I move the bucket closer for him.
“Alpha can I have a quick word with you or the Luna please.”
“She looks at Leo you want to speak to me?”
Her eyes wide as ever.
“I feel quite special although this isn’t the time” she says.
“Can I take it babe?”
“Yeah of course you will soon be officially Luna, you take it I will take care of Noah okay?” I say.
They then leave the room and I use my wolf hearing to listen in.
“Luna Hannah I wanted to take this time and tell you that me and all of our pack members are looking forward for you being our Luna, and we already see you as our Luna.”
“Thank you” she says.
“Can I help in anyway in this situation?”
“Yes Luna.”
“We need blood tests from all the Alphas that went out tonight.”
“Something isn’t right not when they only had a few drinks each.”
“They were all together all night.”
“A few of the other Alphas wife’s have called to see if you or Alpha Cory knew anything that’s why I called straight up when Alpha Noah started being sick.”
“Right let me go and talk to Cory about this probably best it comes from me as we all know what happened last time.”
“Thank you Luna.”
“No thank you, you can go home if you want to Leo, I’ll make sure you get double your wages and take the next two days off.”
“I will call if we need you so can you try and rest up just in case?”
“Yes Luna.”
“Thank you.”
I wait for her to walk back into the room where me and Noah are but I don’t say anything.
Hannah POV
“Cory?”
“I know I listened in to your conversation to make sure you were safe.” Cory says to me.
“I’m so sorry if this has happened again.”
“As you know, I was concerned upstairs that I could smell something funny.”
“What happened tonight?”
“Can you tell me please?”
“Yeah I left here, went and spoke to the Alpha’s about the plans going forward and who wanted to join allies and if they would accept me as an allis.”
“Some of the alphas had food at Noah’s pack house.”
“I didn’t eat anything and a few of the others didn’t eat because we were going to the tavern to have food.”
“So you all went to the pub” I ask.
“Yeah and then we had about two or three pints.”
“Or 10.” I laugh.
“Han if I’m honest, I honestly just thought your brother was a lightweight who couldn’t handle his beer.”
“But thinking of it, he was sick all over me and I took that shower after we talked didn’t I? “
“Yeah I guess you did.”
“Right call all the alphas that were at Noah’s today get them all to have blood tests done and drop them to our pack house and we will run test in the laboratory okay?”
“This is why I love you Hannah-Leigh Miller.”
“You always know what to do, no matter what the situation is.”
“I love you too Cory Micheal Bailey.”
“Now let’s get to work, you go see if you can get rid of that stench but only after you have a blood test done and send doctor Evelyn down here to me so she can do a test on Noah to please.”
“Yes baby, I will see you in a short while okay?”
“Yes babe.”
“Cory leaves and I pick up my phone and call Lena.”
“Lena?”
“Hannah. It’s the middle of the night why are you calling me so late?”
“Oh so you don’t give a f**k about my brother, who is your mate?!”
“Or maybe he isn’t your mate.” I mutter.
“Oh no what’s happened is he okay.” Lena asked overly exaggerating.
“Oh so now your bothered.” I say sharply.
“No he isn’t okay we think he’s been drugged and quite possibly at my own brothers home which means it was one of your pack members.”
“Just get over here now and help me.”
“How’s Cory?”
“Why the f**k do you care about Cory?!”
“Your mate is literally here so ill and you want to ask how Cory is.”
“f**k off.”
I cut her off, and mind link Josh and Greyson not to let Lena in until I have calmed down.
I can’t fault them, they are right by my side.
