Chapter 4Tuesday morning
Jamie and Bull arrived the next morning to take a shift. Jamie made his own schedule. Reed didn’t care so long as the work got done and Bull wasn’t due in until four. Gary had some work to do in New York, so he and Danny wouldn’t be there until three-thirty.
Robbie woke up when they arrived. The nurse came in with his breakfast, but Jamie and Bull brought him an omelet with cheese, mushrooms and onions with fried potatoes on the side in an insulated container. Jamie said, “Bull cooked this for breakfast and he made an extra one for you. I thought you might prefer this to oatmeal.”
“I just happened to have extra eggs.” Bull shrugged.
