They proved their worth as his attack cut through a line of spider bots, leaving them smoking ruins on the floor. Whatever plans the Core had for their bots must not have depended on running into anything but soft targets. Jia pulsed her machine gun, her focus on the aerial threats. The huge numbers of enemies presented a challenge, but they were so tightly packed they could barely move. That made it all but impossible to miss, especially for the members of Erik’s team.
