I slowly opened my eyes and blinked a few times to adjust my vision. I was in a room with white walls and a white ceiling. Everything that had happened rushed back to me and I sat up quickly looking around for my kids, but a hand was placed on my shoulder. His scent filled my nose as I turned and looked at him.
“Where are they? Where are my kids?” I asked trying to get up.
“You mean our kids” Malik said. I took a deep breath and sighed before nodding.
“Yes, our kids. Where are they?” I asked.
“They are with my parents having breakfast. They are fine” he said gently lying me back.
“You are still hurt. Can you heal like you healed me?” he asked making my head snap towards him.
“How do you know about that?” I asked.
“The kids told me. Thank you. You saved my life” he
