Chapter Four AMALIA WAS THE MOST intelligent, gorgeous little girl Sarah had ever met. Because Amalia had been born in Australia, she spoke mostly English. The day Sarah found out Amalia could not communicate properly with the staff; she made some phone calls and organized a tutor. They both began Spanish lessons the next day. Sarah was determined that neither she nor Amalia would be disadvantaged by not speaking the language of the country in which they both now lived.
