Chapter Three
SARAH AND ENRIQUE SAT in silence in the limo that had picked them up from the airport. She gazed in awe out the window at the difference in the landscape around her. Green hills and mountains. The landscape was varied and so beautiful.
Enrique typed on his laptop the entire trip. Sarah couldn’t think of anything to say that would be worth interrupting him for.
They drove for more than two hours.
“We’re here.”
Sarah jumped as Enrique’s voice broke the cove of silence around them.
“Oh, great.”
Finally.
The large metal security gates swung open, and they drove for what seemed like forever along the private driveway. When the car finally pulled up in front of a house, Sarah sat transfixed for several minutes, just staring.
The house in front of her was not a mere home;
