I was shocked by this conversation, and I was curious to know who they were speaking of. Quinn and Riley in the same house, teaming up even though they were related, was something I believed would cause chaos in my home. I never wanted them here, but they always made it happen.
Quinn came in the guise of mourning her sister, which would happen in a week's time while Riley forcefully came here because she knew we needed her. I knew the room they were in and without knocking; I turned the knob and pushed it open.
Riley was the first to spot me, and she rose to her feet. Quinn only looked at me, not acknowledging my presence. Riley glanced at Quinn, then back at me with a bright smile. “If you needed me, Alpha, you could have called,” she said.
