Vivienne's POV
It was not long, and Alpha Tristan was out of sight. I felt a pang of guilt in my heart as it slowly dawned on me what had just happened. Ava stepped out of her hiding place, her eyes scanning the hallway. It seemed she wanted to be certain Alpha and was gone. It was not as though he were not aware of her presence, anyway.
When she confirmed the coast was clear, she walked over to me, a sly smile on her face. Even though Alpha Tristan was aware of her presence, he did not make it obvious and everything we spoke about that was the truth was in hushed tones, so I believed I had successfully taken her off my back, and she did not have any doubts.
“What did you two talk about in hushed tones?” she asked, with her eyes narrowed.
