Councilman Ambrose had a smile on his face as it slowly dawned on me what all this was about. “You see, Alpha Tristan,” he called my title with mockery. “We always knew we could never get to you. Unlike your father, you are stubborn and killing you will not be that easy, but what breaks a man better than the person he so loves.
