Vivienne's POV
I felt better than I was when I woke up, so there was nothing for me to worry about. Plus, I was not going out of the pack house. I only wanted to see Alpha Tristan. I checked his room and his private chamber, but he was not there, leaving me with one place he could be in.
When I got to his study, Beta Max was about to step in, but he paused and gave me a look. I was not sure why, but I read little into it. However, he stopped trying to get in and just stared at me. “What?” I asked.
He said nothing, so I tried to grab the doorknob, but he held it before I could. “You can't go in,” he told me.
"Why?” I asked, but I was met with silence, and he didn't want to let go of the doorknob, either.
“Leave the way,” I said, but he stood his ground.
