I waited for a minute, expecting him to say something, but he said nothing, neither did he move. The moment I took a step forward, his snore got into my ears. I sighed, shutting my eyes briefly.
It was good he did not hear me. I only acted out of pity for him in this state. It was not love. I covered him up and took a seat by his side, occasionally glancing at him as he slept peacefully.
When a man is drunk, it was always said that they say the truth, but I could not accept those words. If he truly loved me, I should not question it. I should be able to know that he loved me. My mind wandered for a while until I fell asleep beside him.
