I was not sure how long I was knocked out for, but I slowly opened my eyes to my lit room. My eyes rested on the ceiling for a moment before I realized who was beside me. “You're awake. That's good,” she said, flicking the syringe she held.
She was about to administer it and I spoke up. “What is it meant for?” I asked.
"You're old now, and you are still scared of injections,” she teased. “Well, it's to kill the toxins in your body. Whatever she poisoned you with had wolf's bane in it, we don't need you wolf disappearing on us,” she said.
