Chapter 10 SAWYER Thursday afternoon Forgetting about Naomi and our agreement the next day at the gym is impossible. I can’t stop thinking about it. The steam isn’t just coming out of the showers when I hit the locker room. It’s coming out of my ears. And even though the Cougars’ afternoon game is done, even though the team closed out the last inning with a win over one of the league’s toughest teams, Sevin’s old squad—the New York Fever, I can’t help but to be angry as hell that, for once, I wasn’t a part of it.
