The door to their rental swung open and Ronna went in carrying two bags full of grocery. She spotted Nick on the couch, relaxing with a beer in hand and his attention focused on the action movie playing on the TV.
“Nick, would you be a dear and get the rest of the groceries from the car?” Ronna asked.
“It only took you the better part of three hours to get back.” Nick said, shaking his head as he picked up a brownie from the plate on the table in front of him, and popped it into his mouth.
“You try shopping sometime and see how long it takes you!” Ronna yelled after him.
