Third person’s PVO The wind became steady and hot, making people in Olympia to feel like in a ovan. “Oh MY GOD, This summer is totally hot.” An old man, sitting under the oak tree, gasped loudly. But at sudden, the thunder clouds were gathering, together forming a thunder storm in the short time. Their quick speed makes the old man’s eyes wide. His mouth opened in awe like he has seen the mighty hungry lion. “This must be the second coming.” He awed. There’s a young man beside him also with the wide eyes. “But the radio said there would be no cloud for today.” The young man said. He reminded himself and it makes his mind full of nervous. “Well, whatever the radio said was now wrong. Come on, Let’s get back into the house.” The young woman runs out from the nearby house and helps the awed old man to walk into the house safely. “Tommy, Aren’t you going to stand here like this?” After delivering the old man into the house, the young woman comes and checks the Grand son, Tom. “Look! There’s no cloud again.” He points towards the sky. She,too, looks upwards and saw that the previous dark thunder clouds disappearing like the smokes. “What is happening? I’m sure there’s the storm coming.” Kate said nervously. Tom looks beside him, a beautiful face lit by the going down sun. This twilight seems so special to him. He is hoping to have the best luck. “Why are you staring at me like that?” Kate shyly asked Tom with her blushed cheeks. Tom has asked her to marry him a few weeks ago. He makes such a surprise at the down town square even though he knew for sure that her feelings are not more than a friend for him. Or may be more than a friend…? Tom says nothing, just keeps staring Kate’s eyes. He remembers her uncertainty when he kneels down on the ground, holding a ring. He wants to make that uncertainty turned into the belief. “Let just go back to the house. Your grand pa probably is waiting for me.” Kate becomes the nurse for Tom’s Grandpa. Since then, He doesn’t feel her as a friend any more. Back in the house, Grand pa is listening to his old radio. “Apologize from the weather center. There will be a very strong thunder storm for tonight. Oh, it was disappeared?” The voice from the radio looks like as nervous as Grand pa. “See, That must be the second coming.” Grand pa said to Kate, who just enters the living room. “Well right, Grand pa. But first, you have to eat your soup.” Kate gently said. She puts down the soup in front of Grandpa. But it doesn’t get his attention as the weather news come out from the old radio. “As shown in the report, it said it would be shooting stars for tonight. The falling stars can be seen clearly from our town though it doesn’t sure where they will fall onto.” After absorbing the news, Grandpa doesn’t think it would be the second coming anymore. “No, Kate. This must be super seriously important. I think I need to dive into my research.” Grand pa said like a little child. Kate wonders what kind of research it is. But he doesn’t say anything. Without any word or any sip from the soup in front of him, the old man locked himself in his study room and refused to come out for dinner. “Tom, I’m worried about your grandpa.” Kate said to Tom. “He will be fine. He just sometimes likes that. I think he is searching a thing back in his room, the old thing which he had a great interest when he is young.” “Well, I can understand that. But making himself hungry is not a solution.” However, the old man finally came out from his work place. He was in hurry but not for dinner, but for the shooting stars. “Come on, You two. I don’t want to miss it. It’s not that cold out there. Just leave the shawl.” He made Kate to stop searching her shawl. And with a great excitement on his face, he runs out from the house to the garden. But the garden is not a satisfied place for him to watch the falling stars. An old big oak tree is covering the ceiling of the bule-darked sky, making them impossible even to see the existing stars. “Put me to the top of that tree.” The old man said, pointing his hand to the tallest tree. The two youths can’t understand why it is so important for him to see. But like always, they try their best to make him pleased. Tom carefully carries him to the top of the tree he has pointed and puts him on a branch where he can sit. “I can’t see it yet. Why don’t you put me to the toppest?” “And it will make you fall.” Within the short time, there comes a lot of stars shooting from the sky, all surrounding a very big shinning thing. They watch in a big awe. None of them speaks but only admiring and thinking what is that big thing. It happens quite impossible to even wish on it or take a picture of it. But as he is on the tree, the old man saw it clearly and quick enough to take a pic. “Look, I too…….AaaagggHHHH!!!!!” At sudden, the old man falls onto the ground with his back. He doesn’t let out a sound anymore. This is really shocked to the other two, “OH MY GOD!!” Kate cried, trying to test whether he is alive or not. Tom quickly dialed the ambulance. They came and took him to the hospital. Before leaving to the hospital, Tom notices that his grandpa brought an old camera with him. So, he picks it up and keeps it somewhere. It becomes one of the memories of his grandpa. On the hospital, they wait outside the room for the result. There is news on the TV. Tom notices it is about the flooding in Japan. They said that the cause is because of the moon being so close to the earth. Tom suddenly remembers of the very one thing that his grandpa used to say. “One day, My boy, the Olympia Gods and Goddesses will come back to the Mount Olympia.” His grandpa is a natural researcher. Strangely, he has a very big obsessed mind with the Greek Myths. He believed things people usually don’t. He keeps his things in his study room. After his grandpa’s funeral, he decides to keep his grandpa’s things. But he never takes a look into the room. However, since that time, the atmosphere around the world becomes so magnificent with full of magic especially in the North of the Greece.
