The entire pack was in utter chaos around me while I sat there numbly, the words, ‘He is gone,’ repeating inside my head like a broken record. After I had told them Ethan was gone, everyone tried to tell me that I was just panicking and he must be around there somewhere. But no one could get hold of him through the mind link or track his scent even after trying for hours. Finally, they had no option but to agree that I was right; he was gone.
