"Someone seems gloomy today." I tease Drey as we both walk towards the car ready to leave for school. He ignores me with a negative scoff and I chuckle.
"Well maybe that would teach you not to mess with my alarm clock." I laugh at his doom and wait for him to unlock the car. When he does, I slip into the backseat as usual and he sits on the drivers seat.
"I can't believe you thought it best to waste water Anye and unnecessarily punish me for doing you a favour." He whines as he pulls out of the driveway. "You better not want to see Anny today too."
The mention of Anny makes my face drop. I had totally forgotten all about dad's letter to her. I still have it with me. Did he rewrite? Or did he not give her at all? I take a mental note to give it back to him after school today.
