Roseline's POV. So it was decided that first, there would be the marriage of my brother Liam and Isabella, followed by the coronation ceremony of Liam. Then I would be married to Hunter, and his coronation would happen. The end of the story was I would be unwillingly married to that heartless man. Everyone was excited in our pack about the marriage of Liam and Isabella and the coronation ceremony of Liam. People in our pack already loved Liam and wanted him as their new Alpha. He was born to be an Alpha, as his golden heart and firm and right decision-making abilities made him a fair candidate. He was a warrior, and I was sure our pack would be safe in his hands after my father retired. My father had brought him up with all the lessons an Alpha should learn. Father gave him all his qualities to rule a pack successfully. Our pack house was decorated like a new bride. Flowers were arranged in an attractive manner everywhere, and lights in the whole pack were glowing like stars coming down on earth. Everybody was dressed in their best. My mother was so happy that her son would finally wear the crown and make her proud. The marriage of her children was her dream. She wanted to see Liam as a groom in a stunning tuxedo and me in a beautiful bridal dress. Finally, both her dreams were going to come true on the same day. I looked at Isabella. She was wearing a beautiful white bridal gown. She was the most beautiful bride I had ever seen. "Isa, you are looking so beautiful today. My brother won't be able to keep his hand off of you. " I winked at her. "O my Goddess, Rose. You are talking about your brother." Her eyes widened in shock. "Oh, come on. It's like you guys never made out in front of me. " I rolled my eyes at her. "Ugh... What can I say? Your brother is very impatient. " She was embarrassed. "You don't need to feel embarrassed, Isa. It's normal for mates to be unable to keep their hands off each other. I am glad you are my brother's mate. You are the best thing that ever happened to him, and I am sure you will be the best luna ." I hugged her. "Thank you, Rose, and you are the best sister I can ever have. I love you. " She wrapped her arms around me tightly and hugged me back. "I love you too, Isa." I really love her. She and Liam were my rocks. "By the way, you look like a Barbie doll, you know! " She said, her eyes taking me in from head to toe. I wore a long pink gown instead of a traditional white wedding gown. My gown was fluffy at the base and tight at the waist, hugging all my curves in the right places. I always wanted to wear a pink gown on my wedding day. So when I told my mother about my wish, she agreed to let me wear whatever I wanted. Maybe she felt pity for me as I wasn't getting married according to my wishes. So perhaps she thought that letting me wear what I wanted would give me some joy. Bridesmaids came into our room to take us with them. All were dressed in white dresses. When we reached the venue, I saw a stage decorated with white lilies and roses, and Liam was standing there waiting for his bride. I stopped in a corner with two bridesmaids and watched Isabella walking down the aisle towards Liam. Liam was in a black tuxedo. His long hair was gelled and slicked back. My brother looked like a king standing there with his big and large body and intimidating aura. When his eyes landed on Isabella, his facial expression changed from stern to soft. His eyes were watching his bride with so much affection. He extended his hand when Isabella reached the stage to help her to climb up the stage. When she was beside him, the officiant began the ceremony with some rituals and chanting. At the end of the ceremony, they exchanged their rings, and the officiant announced them as husband and wife. Then the officiant said that the groom could kiss his bride. Everybody clapped and cheered when Liam cuddled Isabella's cheeks between his hands and pulled her closer. She threw her hands on his neck. He kissed her thoroughly with so much passion and love. I had to avert my eyes though I was used to their PDA. But they were my brother and sister-in-law. I felt awkward. I moved my eyes to take in my surroundings. So many people came here to witness this marriage. Some people from the Blue moon were also present with our pack members. I moved my eyes to survey the people from the other pack, and then I saw HIM. Hunter Knight. He was standing at a distant corner looking at me with.... something.... in his eyes. *********************************** Hunter's POV. Today we would go to the Half moon pack to bring my proposed bride home. I was annoyed and frustrated. Clara hadn't talked to me since she found out about this alliance. Instead, she kept torturing me with her emotional blackmailing. I was ready in my gray suit. Clara came fuming red into my room. "Are you really going to marry that b***h of a princess ?" She yelled. "How could you do this to me? You said you loved me! So all of those was a lie ?" Tears were streaming down her cheeks. It broke my heart to see her crying because of me. "Trust me, Clara. If I could have stopped this marriage, it wouldn't be happening today. But I am helpless. I have to do it for my people and my pack ." I explained to her. " Only your people and the pack matter. What about me? I was only your pastime, and now you are getting a new toy for yourself. You are going to forget me," her voice cracked. "It won't ever happen, Clara. No matter to whom I will be married, only you will be in my heart forever. " I assured her. She was my girlfriend. If this alliance hadn't come, I would have married her. I hated breaking my promise. If it weren't for my father's threat, I would never have been ready for this marriage. But I had to do this because I wouldn't let anyone rule my kingdom. I loved my people, and I wanted their safety. So I would do anything for the sake of my pack, even if I could give my life. "So what about your bride? She will be staying with you. She won't allow you to meet me." Her lips trembled. "She can't decide my actions. She will be here till the time I get rid of her. After that, she won't be getting any of me. You don't need to worry about her. " I hugged her and rubbed her back to soothe her. Dylan came knocking at the door of my room. " Hunter, we are getting late. Alpha Anthony wants you down the hall right now. " He delivered my father's order. "Okay, give me 2 minutes. I'll be there." I told him. "Two minutes then! Don't be late." He said and left. Sometimes he could be a pain in the ass. I said bye to Clara and went down the hall where my father and other pack members were waiting for me. We left in our cars. When I reached the Half moon pack, I saw the whole pack was decorated beautifully. We went into a big hall. There was a stage in the center decorated with lilies and roses. The entire room was packed with their pack members. As I looked for a seat, a man approached us and led us to the front row. He was James, the beta of the Half moon pack. The front row was kept empty for us. Okay. The Half mooners were good at hospitality. Alpha Alexander came to shake hands with my father. They hugged, and I was surprised to see how easily they forgot our enmity. He came near me and pulled me into a hug. I couldn't hug him back. I was not good at forgiving my enemies as my father did. When Alpha Alexander excused himself with his beta to visit other guests, my father spoke, "Did you forget your etiquette, son? " He was annoyed. "Father, I can't pretend." I rolled my eyes. He knew how I was. But he still wanted me to act like a tamed good boy. "You better behave properly. I don't want any problems," he said in a low voice. "I am at my best, father. I let him hug me. Otherwise, I couldn't allow an enemy to do that," we were whispering as we didn't want any of them to listen to our conversation. "He is not our enemy, son. He is giving you his daughter. He trusts you enough to choose you as his daughter's groom. You should pay some respect to your bride's father." He wanted me to behave, which was impossible with my bad boy image. I was terrible, very bad. " Father, I agreed to marry that girl. Don't expect me more than this." I said between gritting my teeth. "As if you had a choice. " My father smirked. I wanted to growl in anger. I was burning inside with rage. But I had to control myself. Otherwise, the situation would turn against my father's expectations. He would be very angry. My phone pinged. Clara had been texting me to remind me of my promise every subsequent hour, which increased my anger. I was in this situation because of that princess. I was stuck in the middle of this where neither I could leave nor wanted to stay. All because of you, Roseline. I hated her more for making my life so complicated. Sitting there amongst many people I never wanted to be with, I felt suffocated. I needed space to breathe. So I excused myself and motioned Dylan to follow me. I found a corner free from any people. I stood there, closing my eyes to calm myself down. "What happened, Hunter? Why are we standing in a corner ?" Dylan complained. " I was enjoying their hospitality while sitting there. I must say they have made the best arrangements." He grinned. "Shut up, Dylan. I don't want to listen to them anymore." I glared at him, and he knew in an instant that I was in my worst mood. "Hey, calm down. What made your mood this bad? They are your bride's pack members." Finally, he surrendered, holding his hands up. "That's why I hate them more. " I said, and he was more confused now. "What do you mean ?" He asked. "I wanted some space, so I came here, and if you wish, you can go back to your seat and enjoy their hospitality. I just wanted this drama to end soon, and I could leave. " I said in an annoyed tone. Suddenly, music started, and all went silent. I turned my head in the direction where they were all looking. Some bride's maids came into sight first. I stretched my neck up to see who was coming behind. I saw a bride in a white gown walking towards the stage. I guessed she would be Liam's bride as he was looking at her with so much affection in his eyes. My gaze followed her to the stage, and I watched them as he pulled her up gently. Then they exchanged their vows and then their rings. When the officiant announced them as husband and wife and allowed them to kiss, the crowd broke into howls and cheers for them. I smiled to see their excitement. I threw my gaze over the hall to survey their people. Then my gaze stopped at a body draped in a pink gown standing in a distant corner. My eyes moved up to her face to find a gorgeous, smiling diva looking at the newly wedded couple with her innocent eyes. My breath hitched in my throat at the realization. It was HER. My bride. Roseline Harves.
