I woke up recalling last night's event. That embarrassment and Hunter's rejection were bothering me. His rejection bothered me more. Why? I didn't know.
I got up and stretched my hands in the air. I saw a note lying on the bedside table. It was from Evelyn.
'So you are awake. Quickly freshen up and come down the hall for breakfast.'
I smiled when I read the note. We were up till late last night catching up on the girl's stuff, and she didn't wake me up knowing I was upset last night, and some extra sleep would help me relax my mind.
