“You look a bit overwhelmed,” Ben said conversationally. Something about him was much more relaxed. Samantha realized that he must feel like he was coming home. Eventually more and more people joined them in the tunnels.
“Where did everyone come from?” Samantha asked as they were caught up in the crowd of bear shifters. She looked around and tried to figure out where they had come from.
“There are other tunnels. This is just the one that my family would always come through.”
“Why is it like that?” Samantha blurted out. That was strange and it didn’t make sense at all. “Why wouldn’t they just have one door where everyone would enter?”
“I think it’s because that would cause a panic if or when there was a need for everyone to come down here,” Ben answered. He shrugged his large shoulders
