Charlotte struggled to break free from the guard who had let her out, and she was tied to a tree while the guard prepared his whip.
The guard's forehead perspired, as he hadn’t thought he would be subjected to this—punishing the Luna of their pack. His life was also at risk, but he had to obey the Alpha's command.
"Please, don't flog me!" Charlotte wept just in time as the guard resumed lifting his whip. Her father arrived and rushed to the scene to stop the guard from punishing her.
"Are you crazy? What gives you the right to whip my daughter?" Beta Paul Mateo was furious, and using his Beta power, he pushed the guard aside since he had trained him before, along with a few others.
"I'm sorry, Beta Paul, but this is Alpha Teddy's order, and I cannot disobey the Alpha," the guard said.
