Charlotte looked taken aback to see the woman Teddy Hudson had brought home into their matrimonial home.
This house was given to Teddy and her as their matrimonial gift from Alpha Lucas Hudson. After the night Charlotte had accepted Teddy as her husband and chosen mate, Alpha Lucas gave them the new duplex house as their matrimonial home, and for four years that Charlotte had been living with Teddy and helping him rule over the Norfield pack, and after he took over the Alpha position from his father, Teddy hadn't brought any woman home. But today, being their marriage anniversary and Charlotte's 22nd birthday night, Teddy came home with another woman in his arms—a fair-skinned woman.
"Can't you greet?" Teddy demanded as his green eyes glowered at Charlotte, making her snap out of her trance.
"Um, good evening, who's she?" Charlotte immediately asked Teddy, as her eyes moved to stare at the young woman of her age in a seductive crimson gown.
"Did you just ask me who's she?" Teddy let go of the woman in his arms and drunkenly charged at Charlotte.
Seizing Charlotte by her neck, Teddy told her, "She's the rightful Luna of this pack, the woman who is supposed to be my wife and chosen mate, if not that you bewitched my father into accepting you as the fake Luna and my mate!" Teddy squeezed Charlotte's neck as if to choke the life out of her.
"Teddy..." Charlotte's voice trailed as she tried to stop her husband from suffocating her. Charlotte tried to breathe, struggling to break free from Teddy's strong hold on her soft neck, but he wouldn't let go.
"Baby, don't kill her here. That would implicate us and you too," a soft voice said, and quickly Teddy finally let go of Charlotte. She coughed and moved away from the beast of a husband that she had married.
With tears in her eyes, Charlotte looked from Teddy to the lady who had just spoken in disbelief. "You're right, Anne. If I kill her here, my father would find out and that will implicate us truly. Come, let me show you to our bedroom upstairs."
"Teddy!" Charlotte jumped in front of them, as she stood in front of the stairs in the living room. "You cannot take this woman of ill repute to our bedroom! Take her out immediately!" Charlotte ordered Teddy, whose anger boiled as he heard Charlotte refer to Anne Robert as a woman of ill repute.
"What? Who did you call a woman of ill repute? Honey, did you hear her speaking? I had been your mate even before you accepted this swine as your wife? I don't want to see her inside this house. Get rid of her, let her leave here and stay outside of our home," Anne said as she burst out crying.
Teddy rushed to meet Charlotte. He dragged her away from the stairs; he was wearing a white shirt and black pants. Some of his shirt buttons were left undone. "Who did you call a woman of ill repute? My mate?" Teddy charged at Charlotte, and in front of Anne, he removed his trouser belt and started flogging her. The maids working in the mansion could only peep at them, as none dared to intervene when Teddy and Charlotte were having marital problems. Teddy had warned them that if any of the two maids working in the mansion dared to report him to his father, he would have the maid killed.
"Teddy! Stop, I'm sorry," Charlotte cried, but at the wee hours of the night, Teddy flogged her, and Anne smiled viciously.
"That's enough, sweetie, come take me to our bedroom. I need to rest as I'm tired for the night," Anne said, as she observed how Teddy had flogged Charlotte without mercy.
Satisfied with how he had disciplined Charlotte, Teddy let go of the woman crying on the tiled floor and walked up to meet Anne, using one hand to clutch his trousers that had loosened from removing his belt. Anne smiled and embraced Teddy, "Good boy," she told him, as she kissed him on his left cheek in the presence of Charlotte.
"Come take me upstairs, I'm tired and cannot wait to have you," Anne said sweetly to Teddy as she had followed him to the neighboring pack function as his Luna, and it was only right that Teddy get rid of Charlotte.
"Teddy, you dare to flog me because of this p********e?" Charlotte stood up again from the tiled floor. She had blue mesmerizing eyes that glowed even when she was crying. Charlotte was pretty, sexy, and curvy, but she has dark complexion and still untouched as Teddy hadn't consummated their marriage.
Teddy's anger surged again to hear Charlotte refer to Anne Robert that way.
"I see that I haven't disciplined you enough. I'm going to kill you tonight and bury your corpse before any of our fathers arrives. What gives you the right to refer to Anne Robert in that way?" Teddy wanted to charge towards Charlotte with killing intent in his eyes, but Anne quickly stopped him. "No, baby. Don't kill her; it would implicate us. Come, let us go to the bedroom and make some babies that she's unable to give to you. Once we make the baby, that way, I will become the rightful Luna, and your father will be left with no other option than to accept me as your mate and chosen Luna of Norfield pack," Anne said, and Teddy's eyes glowed in admiration of her words.
"You're right. Come, let us go," Teddy said, as he looked away from Charlotte angrily, and his eyes shifted to look at Anne, who walked up to meet him in her black stiletto heels.
Charlotte cried as she had worn a pink seductive dress to look sweet for Teddy, but he stared at her with so much hostility in his eyes, while he looked at Anne Robert with love and warmth.
Charlotte, unable to bear the hurt and the betrayal, recalled when she got married to Teddy Hudson. Teddy had told her that Anne was his sister from another mother. He introduced Anne to her as his personal assistant, and it was only right for her to acknowledge Anne, even though she didn't like the pretty fair-skinned woman.
Charlotte had seen the way Teddy stared at Anne sweetly on several occasions that she followed him about, little did she know that Anne was Teddy's real mate and not just his assistant alone.
"Teddy! I'm not going to take this! I will end our marriage today and divorce you. I, Charlotte Mateo, reject you, Teddy Hudson, to no longer be my husband and mate!"
Teddy's eyes surged with rage as he turned to look back at Charlotte. He let go of Anne again, with a smirk playing on his lips, and walked up to meet Charlotte, who was shivering and had taken some steps backward just as he approached her. He asked, "What gives you the right to think that you can divorce me, Charlotte? Are you stupid? Do you think you can walk away from this marriage? Oh, so you want to sabotage my name out there in front of our pack members and to my parents. You wouldn't dare! The way Anne endured and watched you parade yourself as my mate is the way you will endure and watch Anne birth my pups." With that, Teddy turned and went upstairs with Anne, leaving Charlotte to burst into tears in the living room and cry.
