CHAPTER 11

1155 Words
Charlotte was eager to have Jack in her embrace. She had dreamt of this day, the day she would finally consummate her marriage. However, she was consummating it tonight with her husband's brother. What would her pack members think of her? Charlotte didn't care. There had been rumors about her being barren, and she thought this was the only way to prove to her pack members that she wasn't barren but had been deprived of her marital rights. She endured Teddy's torture daily, hoping and yearning for his love, believing that he would one day change. But with each passing day and night, Teddy only became worse. "Are you ready?" Jack's hoarse voice questioned Charlotte as he prepared himself to join her in intimacy. With her eyes closed, Charlotte replied, "Yes, mate." Jack smiled, although a part of him wanted to withdraw. "No, this is not right," that part of him said. But Jack's wolf urged him on, saying it was right. "Let's claim our mate." With a gentle push, Jack thrust into Charlotte's warmth. She moaned, grasping the sheet beneath her hands as Jack moved within her. She felt pain, pleasure, and satisfaction and didn't try to stop Jack. Jack was eager to join with his mate, but knowing Charlotte was inexperienced, he took her slowly, carefully, warmly, until he finally increased his pace, moving with deep thrusts. As they intertwined in the bed, Jack and Charlotte experienced rounds of pleasure—four rounds until exhaustion—and they lay on the bed in each other's arms. A beautiful smile curved up Charlotte's face. She was supposed to regret her actions, but she didn't feel any regret. She slept peacefully on the bed with Jack, naked and covered with only the bedclothes. Jack was satisfied. He had never found such joy before. He was happy with his return, although he knew they would be persecuted for their actions. But he awaited the following morning to arrive. Carefully, he shut his eyes and succumbed to sleep beside Charlotte, while they slept until sunrise. The next morning, as Charlotte awoke, she could smell freshly baked bread and hadn't expected Jack to be awake that early. "Jack," Charlotte slowly called his name, the image of what they did the previous night registering in her mind. Jack had woken up earlier, around 8 in the morning. His wolf instinct told him that his mate would be sore from their passionate night. Jack quickly went to prepare hot tea for Charlotte, knowing she would need it most when she awoke. She wasn't an Alpha wolf like him, so he was sure she needed her energy back while they awaited their judgment. "Good morning, sweet pie, I brought you some tea," Jack said as he approached Charlotte on the bed. Smiling, she accepted the tray with the teacup from his hands and greeted him, "Good morning, I haven't brushed my teeth yet." "Morning," Jack said, wrapped in a white towel around his waist. "It doesn't matter, just drink it first to replenish your energy. How was your night?" Jack watched as Charlotte smiled while she raised the teacup from the tray and drank the warm tea. The weather was chilly, so the tea had cooled a bit, though still warm. After finishing the tea, Charlotte replied, "My night was fine, and yours? Thank you for last night." She blushed as she placed the empty cup back on the tray. "You don't have to mention it. So what's the plan for today? Do you still want to return home to Teddy or to your parents' abode?" Jack inquired. Still seated on the bed, Charlotte sank into quick thoughts, replying, "I would return home, but I'm certain Teddy would be there looking for me. I don't want to go home yet." Charlotte thought about the consequences of her actions with Jack. a******y was a punishable offense in the Norfield pack, and while the magistrate could issue a simple warning, she was certain that Teddy would want them punished, and she worried about Jack. "What's wrong?" Jack asked as he leaned forward and settled beside Charlotte on the small bed, his body radiating heat due to his closeness. Jack tried hard the previous night not to mark Charlotte, although he had broken her hymen, but he didn't leave a trace in case his brother still wanted her. Jack had seen how Teddy ruled the pack, and it impressed him the previous evening when he arrived home late. What he hadn't expected was to meet his mate, who happened to be his brother's wife. Now it would cause more rift between them. "I don't want Teddy to punish you. We were supposed to prepare a welcome party for you. Now, Teddy would have you embarrassed because of what we did," Charlotte said, breaking into sobs. As she knew, no one could challenge Teddy's authority, and she feared his reaction. "You don't have to worry," Jack said, consoling Charlotte as he pulled her close. "No matter what the punishment may be, I would happily go through it." "Really?" Charlotte smiled sadly, looking up at Jack's face closer to hers. The previous night, she didn't get to see his face properly, and seeing how handsome and mature he looked, Charlotte drew him forward and initiated a kiss again. She gave him a surprise kiss on his lips, and Jack's green eyes darkened with desire. He kissed her back, and they engaged in a kissing session on the bed. As their lips separated, they gazed into each other's eyes again. Charlotte remembered that Jack hadn't marked her, so she asked him, "Why didn't you bite me last night?" Smiling, Jack drew Charlotte close in a warm hug on the bed, feeling his body radiating heat beside hers. He wanted to tell her how he wanted to mark her, leave all his love bites all over her skin, but he was still feeling guilty that he had been away for so long. Now the woman he desired was already his brother's mate. He felt stuck with the words deeply embedded in his heart. How could he confess his feelings to her? "Tell me, why didn't you mark me? You promised to help me last night to overcome your brother. Are you backing out from your promise now?" Charlotte inquired, knowing she shouldn't have trusted Jack so easily just because he was her true mate and the one destined for her by the moon goddess. She had been married to Teddy Hudson for four years. How could she have easily let her guard down and believed her husband's elder brother's deceitful words? Surely, he was born of the same mother as Teddy, so Jack would definitely possess some ruthless traits like Teddy. Thinking about the fact that Jack had lied to her just to make her fall for him, for his handsomeness, Charlotte burst into tears in his arms.
