I maintained my fierce stand, tightening my fists and baring my teeth at the guards as they moved around the room. I knew they were executing their dumb king’s orders, but I planned to remain defiant till my very last breath. I refused to be intimidated by anyone.
“Everything is sealed… No way for her to run,” one said and all I wanted to do was to jump at him but the pain in my ankle was increasing and it was taking everything in me to maintain the strong facade.
I couldn’t let them see how much my ankle was starting to hurt.
“Let’s see how she will try escaping this time.” They chuckled amongst themselves as they finally walked out of the room, leaving me to express my pain.
“Hmm…” I groaned and I collapsed to the ground as soon as the door closed.
