Phoenix|| My strength returned completely by the time we got to the palace, but Ares still supported most of my weight even when I could feel his unease about what we were going to meet ahead. The smoke was rising in the distance. It was bizarre but that wasn’t the most alarming. What worried me more was the smell of death that filled the space the further we went. The silence was second on the list and then there was a feeling of immense guilt. It wasn’t my emotion, neither was it coming from Ares… yet it was there. What happened here?
