Scarlett's scream alarmed Logan. He was quick enough to put one hand on her mouth to stop her from screaming. With his other hand, he grabbed one of her hands, blocking her from moving. But it was not enough. Scarlett kept on hitting him with her free hand and kept fighting worthlessly to loosen herself from his tight grip. Finally, she bit one of his fingers of his hand over her mouth, creating a perfect opportunity to escape when he flinched. She had bitten it with enough force to make his finger bleed.
The wound healed quite fast, even for a dragon. But Scarlett missed that minute detail in her rage. Also, the blood in his fingers made it impossible to know by just looking at it that it had already healed.
