After taking Shell to nursery, Soom joined her mother in their hotel, which was normally her first port of call in the morning.
“What time do you want to go to see The Lady, Mum?” she asked.
“Er, say eleven o’clock? It rained last night so the ground will still be a little damp now, but it will be dry by then. Gail here, the receptionist, goes to lunch at one, so that should give us plenty of time. In the meantime, you can stick with me, or look through the computer files, if you like”.
“I’ll just tag along with you, if that’s all right, I can look over the files from home so I don’t get in Gail’s way”.
“You know Soom already of course, but she may be taking over from me in the near future, Gail, so I want you to give her any assistance she needs”.
“Yes, of course, Khun Lek”, she said
