Today, just like in the past, a large sum of money has been deposited into Pluto’s account. It was $100,000. Good thing is that Pluto didn’t spend it all in the past or he won’t even make it until the apocalypse. In the past, the money was used by Pluto for his daily life and tuition. This time, he needs to multiply his money as fast as he can.

Of course, the first choice goes into making money in the stock market. Everyone can earn money with as little as 1$ capital and gains profit a couple of times more than that. Entrusting the funds into a firm will have the highest chance of guaranteed profit but it takes a lot of time. Definitely, something Pluto couldn’t afford. The countdown of 10 years didn’t give him an ounce of rest.

“Should I buy all the stock of the company that will rise in one or two years? No. It is still too long. If I want to make billions, I need a quicker way to earn money.”

Binary options. That was the thing that comes out after he does his research on the stock market. Some call it gambling as you are only given an option to guess if the stock price will rise or fall. You could be crazy rich or become a beggar that has lost everything in one minute.

Even though he comes from the future, there is no way for him to know every movement of the binary stock. Not to mention he doesn’t even care about stock in his previous life. After the apocalypse, the concept of stock even disappears completely from the world. What matters is your talent and ability to survive. That is how people value you inside the shelter.

Speaking of stocks and shelter he finally remembered one thing. When the apocalypse occurred and people are working to make a shelter, one crazy man claimed that he will give up all his stock that is valued in the billions dollar to secure a quota in the shelter. No one takes his word seriously as the price of the stock is basically worthless in the apocalypse but he still got famous because of that incident.

“What is his name again? Bo-bo-bor… Hmm… Boromir! That’s it. His name is Boromir. He is also famous as ‘the gambler of the wall street’ as he gained all that wealth from binary trading. From what I see, he hasn’t made his name since he hasn’t appeared in any news related to stocks. I wonder if I could convince him to help me? Should I go to wall street? No, I better wait until next week. I remember the people that are coming to ask about my father come within a week after I receive the money. I should buy some weapons just in case. My body is nowhere near my prime so I should prepare some extra measures.”

Buying a gun was impossible since if he killed anyone it would spell a lot of trouble. When the apocalypse happened, the law collapsed and killing was just a casual occurrence. Not to mention deaths because of the apocalypse, life almost amounts to nothing. But that is in the future and in the present, society is still upholding justice.

“I should buy a bulletproof vest and a stun gun. A bulletproof vest could give me some defense if we’re fighting up close. A stun gun is effective even if the target is an adult man. I should buy two with the largest voltage out there. My aim is to send them unconscious so I could tie them up and interrogate them. I should also buy some potent sleeping pills, some chloroform, and other chemicals that could knock them out. If I could avoid fighting, it would be best. I also should buy some chains and handcuff to tie them up.”

Pluto took some money from his account and bought everything he needs.

Now, all he needs to do is to wait for the people that come to ask about his father to come.

He was afraid that they won’t come because some things have changed from the past. For instance, the pendant that he got as his birthday present. He vaguely remembers that they asked if his father left something behind but he answered no as the only thing his father left for him is the birthday present. He knows that somehow these men have a connection with his father and the only clue he has. He couldn’t miss this.

Sure enough, Pluto didn’t need to wait for too long before two men in suit-wearing black sunglasses come knocking on his front door.

*knock knock*

Opening the door, he knew that they are the one he has been waiting for. After all, no other people have come to him.

“Excuse me, is this Dr. Henry's house? Are you Pluto?”

“Yes, what’s the matter?”

Of course, they already know that Pluto is in the house. They already put surveillance for the past few days and waiting for the right time to come. Seeing that Pluto’s father didn’t even bother to come back to his home leaving his son behind, they decided to approach Pluto directly.

“We’re Dr. Henry's colleague. Do you mind if we ask you some questions?”

“Oh, you guys are my father's colleague. Please come in, let’s talk inside.”

The two men in a suit come inside without any precaution. In their eyes, Pluto is only a naïve teenager. They have a look into his background and decided that there is nothing to worry about from this boy.

They come inside and sit down as Pluto served them drinks. Of course, it was already added with sleeping drugs and Pluto has his stun gun ready to fire anytime.

“So, you guys are my father’s colleague? This is the first time someone from my father’s workplace come. He said that he is going on a business trip but he hasn’t come back for almost two weeks. Usually, it will be one week at most. I wonder if you guys know where he is? He didn’t even give me a call.”

Pluto is playing the innocent card. With a smile on his face, he asked the two men.

“We don’t really know about the situation but from what we heard; he is involved in a secret project. We come to ask whether he left something behind for us and ask you to keep it first.”

“No, my father didn’t leave anything for me to keep.”

“Is that so? Well then, I think it’s time for us to leave.”

“Why are you in a hurry? Please sit down and relax first. This is the first time someone from my father’s workplace come and he never tells me anything about his work. Could you tell me more? How is he in the workplace?”

Pluto is trying to stall some time for the sleeping drug to take place. The two men however didn’t seem to want to stay any longer and decided to leave. Just when they are about to go out from the door and show their back to Pluto, he takes out his stun gun and the two men are incapacitated before they know it.
