I shimmied through the lobby of Moore Holdings. I am surprisingly in a good mood today. Clad in a pair of red business suits, I felt so sexy as I strutted my way to Sebastian's office. Heads turned as I walked through the hallways. The sharp clicking sound of my Manolo Blahnik heels takes everyone's attention from whatever it is that they were doing.
Men eyed me from head to toe with obvious admiration, while the women either glared at me with envy or stared in awe. I didn't pay attention to any of them. I am solely focused on Sebastian and how I can make his life a living hell. I will be the little devil by his side. The pain in his ass until he decides to tell my father that I am responsible enough.
"What the hell are you doing?" a cold voice got my attention. I turned to see Sebastian with a stoic expression on his face.
"I'm heading to our office," I smirked at him seductively.
"You're late," he breathed before making his way to the elevator. I followed closely behind him. I noticed that this isn't the elevator that my father and I used yesterday. It may be for his private use only.
"And what the hell are you wearing?" he hissed as soon as the elevator door closed.
"Business attire?" I raised an eyebrow at him. Is he blind or what?
"We have a dress code here. You can't just wear whatever you want." he snapped almost angrily.
"Why? What's wrong with this?" I asked innocently as I checked my outfit on the glass walls of the elevator. I can see him eyeing me darkly through my peripherals.
I am wearing a suit but okay, the skirt might be too short. It barely reached the middle of my thighs, showcasing my long, shapely legs courtesy of my Dad. It has two cute little slits on the front, about two inches long. My inner shirt is sheer as it is made of lace material. It hugs my toned stomach perfectly, showing my curves every time my unbuttoned coat sways sideways.
"What's wrong?!" he snarled. "You just have to slightly bend over and the world will see whatever's under your skirt!"
"What?" I chuckled, which only made his eyes darker than they already were.
"If I will just bend over? Do you want to test that theory of yours, Sir?" I asked with my voice intentionally huskier than normal.
I smirked at him while he glared at me. I was about to bend over when he suddenly grabbed my arm and pulled me back. I laughed out loud.
"Oh my gosh! You should have seen your face!" I laughed heartily while his face was beet red.
"Goddamn it, Elinor! This is not a playground!" his loud voice almost shook his small elevator.
I bit my lower lip while looking at him. I find him hot when he's raging mad like this. I can imagine us here in the elevator. He's right. I could just bend over a little... His face will be flushed red but definitely not because of anger.
"What the hell is playing in that mind of yours?!" he snapped, cutting off my dirty thoughts. His nostrils flared with every word he spat.
"Huh? Nothing Sir." I feigned innocence as I looked at him from head to toe.
"You will be the death of me..." he murmured, but I still heard it since there isn't too much space between us.
I chuckled but didn't say anything anymore. I should give him some time to breathe and calm down. I don't want him to just die of a heart attack. Or do I? I smirked at my evil thoughts.
Finally, the elevator door opened and I heard him take a deep breath as soon as we stepped out. Jeez. He's so easy to piss off. I haven't even started and yet he's already fuming mad. I didn't know it would be so easy.
He stormed straight to his office while I leisurely walked behind him.
"Good morning Mr. Moore." his secretary greeted him, but he ignored her.
"Good morning... Meryll." I told her after reading her name on the table. Her cheeks flushed as she smiled awkwardly at me.
"Good morning Miss," she replied.
"Elinor!" the boss roared again.
"What?" I c****d my head to look at him.
"Come here!" he snapped before going inside his office. I rolled my eyes.
"Is he always like that?" I asked Sarah.
"N-no. He's usually quiet," she murmured.
"Hmm, okay. See you later." I winked at her before walking into his office.
"What's your problem? Woke up on the wrong side of the bed?" I taunted him as soon as I closed the door.
"Let's make things clear!" he stated in a business-like tone. Seemed like he collected himself already.
"What things, Sir?" I raised an eyebrow after taking a seat in front of his desk.
"First of all, stop addressing me that way!" he snapped between his gritted teeth.
"You don't like me calling you Sir?" I asked him in my most innocent-sounding voice. I wanted to laugh at his comical reaction but I stopped myself by pursing my lips. Seriously? Did he forget everything about me?
"What should I call you? Seb?" I almost winced when that annoyingly familiar name rolled out of my tongue effortlessly. Memories from the past flashed inside my mind and I didn't like it one bit.
"You haven't even grown," he spat. Something inside me was triggered but I tried not to show it on my face. Instead, I maintained the mocking smile playing on my lips.
"Well, I can't say the same for you. You've clearly grown... A lot." I smirked. I let my eyes wander around his body. Hmm. Yep. He had grown some muscles.
"This is enough. Just don't call me Sir. And you have to be here on time. You will go with me to my meetings and other appointments. I value my time, Ms. Alistair," he said grimly.
"Sure." I nodded. "But for the love of God Sebastian! I was just a minute late yesterday and five minutes late now! But you react like I am late for hours!"
"It doesn't matter. You're still late," he said in a calmer tone.
"Fine. Is that all?" I asked impatiently.
"No. Make sure to wear more appropriate clothes tomorrow."
"Can you define what is appropriate for you?" I asked.
"Elinor Settara!" he barked.
"Okay, okay," I exclaimed. With the way he looks, I think he could snap my neck any moment from now if I didn't stop.
"What do I need to do today?"
"Sort the files on your table," he said, without looking at me. Now he has his attention on his computer screen.
"Don't you have a secretary for this job?" I frowned.
"Just do it," he said. "We will leave before lunchtime."
"Whatever." I snorted before heading to my table.
I sighed after seeing two high piles of folders on my table. What the heck? I rolled my eyes but still did what he asked me. I had no choice but to follow him. For the sake of my black card...
"You can do this, Eli." I cheered myself after stretching my back. I have already lost track of time, but my aching neck and back tell me that it's been hours.
Ugh. I need a new chair. Even my ass hurts from sitting there for a long time.
"I'll just check on something. We'll go after I come back." he suddenly spoke.
"Mmkay." I nodded, then watched him walk out of the door. I shrugged. I took out my make-up kit to retouch my powder and lipstick. I smacked my lips together and pouted at the mirror.
"Let's go," he said. I didn't notice when he came back. I stood up and grabbed my bag with me.
"Where are we going?" I asked when we were walking out.
"I have a luncheon meeting," he answered in a bored tone.
"And I'm coming with you because?" I queried.
"Please don't start," he threatened, so I just decided to shut up.
A black Rolls-Royce Phantom was waiting for us in front of the building. One of my eyebrows was raised while eyeing his ride.
Hmm, not bad. I thought to myself.
The driver opened the back seat door for me. I thought we would be sitting together, but to my dismay, he took the shotgun. But why am I even disappointed?!
"Can you play some music?" I asked after sitting there for a few minutes. The driver is just quietly driving. His eyes focused on the road.
"Why? The drive will only last for a few minutes," Sebastian answered.
He's such a bore. Ugh.
I took my bag to get my phone but I almost threw it away when I remembered that Dad confiscated it as well. Damn it. They were lecturing about how I should start acting my age but ironically, they keep treating me like a kid!
I was scowling for the rest of the drive. I didn't wait for the driver to open the door for me. I went out on my own. Sebastian c****d a brow when he saw my face, but he didn't say anything. He started walking so I followed him. We are in a five-star hotel which is thankfully not owned by my Dad.
We went straight into an empty private room in their restaurant. I took a seat while checking out the interior of the room. My mood got a little better with the fancy place.
"What would you like to eat?" he casually asked.
"I'll have baked salmon with a parmesan herb crust," I answered after looking at the menu. He told the waiter my order and added a lot more. Is he meeting with a bunch of people? But there are only four seats. Tss, whatever. That's not my problem anymore.
The waiter left after taking Sebastian's orders. It didn't take long before a man came.
"Seb, man! Sorry, am I late?" he asked.
I wasn't expecting him to meet someone young. The man looked like he was around the same age as Sebastian and me. He looked more casual in his business attire. He's a few inches taller than Sebastian. Why am I even comparing them?
"No, we're just early," Sebastian answered after clearing his throat. "I already ordered. I hope you won't mind."
"Sure," he smiled, but his eyes widened when he finally noticed me.
"Elinor?!" he exclaimed, his lips stretched into a broad smile. He looks good but he reminded me of the Cheshire cat.
"How are you? Why are you here?" he asked.
"Do I know you?" I asked instead of answering him.
"Ouch." he held his chest, acting as if he was hurt. He took the seat beside me. "I'm Wesley. We went to the same university," he informed me.
"Really?" I asked, unenthusiastically.
"Her Dad entrusted her to train with our company," Sebastian said, but the guy seemed not to hear him. His attention was on me as he tried to make me remember him.
Thankfully, the waiter came back with the appetizers before he could reminisce all the memories that I wasn't even aware of. We had some common friends and went to the same parties before. I wasn't sure. I went to a lot of parties. And when I say it's a lot, it means that. A lot.
I glanced up at Sebastian just to find him murdering me with his glares. What the hell did I do this time? I didn't even know who he was meeting with! In fact, I don't even want to go with him here! I'd rather eat my lunch peacefully somewhere far away from him.
"You were so drunk then..." the man blabbed. What's his name again? tss. Nevermind.
I speared a tiny piece of scallop with my fork, imagining that it was the man's tongue instead. I sighed.
"Let's talk about your proposal." Sebastian finally cut him off in the middle of telling him about our "make-out sessions". The f**k?! I don't even remember his f*****g face!
"Elinor, take notes," he ordered. I shrugged and tried to listen to them. The man kept on glancing my way but I ignored him. The whole lunch was so awkward that I didn't even enjoy the food! Damn it. I didn't understand a thing about their meeting either. I just pretended to scribble down some notes when in reality, I was just doodling.
"I hope we can meet again sometime. You know, just to catch up." the man said when they finished their f*****g meeting.
"I'll think about it." I stretched my lips into a fake smile. I wanted to lash out at him but thinking that he is Moore's potential client, I tried to control my lost temper.
"Elinor, we need to go." Sebastian cut us off.
"So that's what you have been doing when you were supposed to be studying?" he asked in an accusing tone when we got back to his office.
"Excuse me? Did you really believe his nonsense?" I asked incredulously. "God, I don't even remember him!"
"Probably because you were too drunk to remember!" he snapped. Wait, what?!
"What is it to you then?" I angrily retorted.
"We're here because of your stupid stunts. If you just acted responsible enough, I wouldn't have to go through all this!" he yelled.
"Oh yeah?! Then why didn't you refuse?!"
"Because I respect your father so much! If it weren't for him, I wouldn't want to have anything to do with you!" he snarled.
I grinned despite the bitter bile that rose to my throat. Why is he even so mad?
"Are you jealous?" I taunted him mockingly.
