I laid on the sofa with Em eating junk food and watching a really funny film, we never spoke any more of last night we just laid there and laughed together forgetting everything else that was going on around us.
Every now and again I would see Kane walk by the door, I knew he was making sure she was ok, he would slow down and motion his head towards her. I would nod my head to let him know she was fine, just the same as I did minutes before. I think the next time he does it I am purposely not going to look at him, maybe that is being a bit mean to him, oh well.
“How have I not seen this film before now!” Em laughed,
I smiled seeing her back to her normal happy self again even if it was only for a short while. I was glad to give her this escape.
