I bounded up the stairs taking them two at a time heading towards the room Em had now claimed as her own, I thought I could have trusted Lydia to keep her distance from them while I was gone.
I rounded the top of the staircase and headed down the hall, as I approached Lydia's door I heard the lock click, before I could make it past the door opened and out stepped Victor. I sighed as I slowed my pace stopping just before I reached him.
“There you are, son!” Victor boomed as he stepped forward outstretching his hand to shake mine.
I accepted politely nodding curtly at his greeting “Victor, It's good to see you” I smiled as I sneaked a glance just past him to where Em's room was further down the hall.
