“Mam, can you hear me?”
Chloe heard the voice of her daughter and let out an immediate sigh of relief. It was slightly less clear than previously, but still, she could hear her. Swallowing down the lump that had formed in her throat, Chloe smiled before responding to her daughter.
“I can now get in here before your Uncle Robin causes us a problem with this damned whiskey,” Chloe replied, with a slight giggle.
