I succeeded with my answer. Whatever her reasons were for asking, I was able to dispel the worry from her heart, because clearly I could see from her expression that she was fine, perhaps for now. Her step-mother, everytime she has something undermining to say about herself, it always stems from the words her step-mother told her.
And it's becoming upsetting at this point. How did she raise her to have such doubts about her body? I haven't asked much about her family back at home, but if I pick at one or two words she says in between her sentences, it is not hard to tell that she didn't grow up in a pleasant environment.
