||*RHIAMON*||
I sat on the tiny bed in my room, hands placed gently on my lap while I awaited the call from my step-mother. I had thought of running away, for a moment I thought about being a loner. However, I had to give myself a reality check. I have no knowledge of the world outside of this house.
The four walls of this house are all I've known for twenty-one years. How would I survive or know what direction to go if perhaps I ran away. And there are things called rogues. I've heard my father talking about them. They're feral wolves, outcasts and all they do is hunt to kill. So running away wouldn't help me because I might fall in the hands of those things.
Hence, I decided to stay, despite my resolve. I washed up as my step-mom instructed and she dressed me in this dusty blue off-shoulder floor length tulle dress. The sleeve of the dress was transparent enough to show my skin, the dress was nothing fancy as I had seen my stepmother wear it ever so often.
According to my step-mom, it's the fanciest she can give, since she wants me to look appealing for the Alpha supreme. Even the neck of the dress was cut down to my cleavage, despite the fact that it stood around half way down my chest, revealing most of the top of my body. I wasn't made to put on any underwear.
I had no idea why. I asked and only got yelled at, so underneath this flimsy tulle I was naked, nothing to cover my innocence, but I guess all is so I can look presentable enough for the Alpha Supreme.
I nervously fiddled with my fingers as the door to my room pushed open, thinking it was my step-mom, but the space on the bed beside me dipped in and I raised my head to meet my step-brother's gaze.
"Adriel." I murmured with a smile.
"I'm sorry big-sis, I tried to talk father out of it but he wouldn't listen." Adriel muttered in a sad voice and I nodded.
"I know, I am due to go. I should've gone since I was sixteen but they kept me. Now I am an adult, I should be fine. Besides, there will be other girls, I won't be alone." I grinned at my stepbrother, trying to keep a positive face and energy.
"But you don't know anything about the outside world, you're a half-breed that makes you weaker than the other girls. What if you can't take the Alpha supreme? He is a brute, so I've heard. I've also heard rumours that he has a beast and doesn't treat women right. Father is wrong about doing this. Why can't you beg him to keep you?" Adriel complained and I sighed.
"Father doesn't love me, Adriel. He's only ever bought my freedom because it benefits him. I'll be fine. I know it's my first time being out, but I am a fast learner. I'll learn quickly from the other girls and mother says I should do my best to please the Alpha supreme so I can gain favour from him. I don't know how to do it, but I'll ask how to and I'll learn. I don't know what you mean when you said I can't take him, but I'll try. You don't have to worry about me, I am an adult." I said, convincing my brother that I'd be fine.
"By the gods, you're so painfully innocent, I am scared on your behalf." Adriel cried, pulling me hard into his embrace, and I snickered. He's the only one in the household who has ever cared for me, genuinely. He's three years younger than I am and the oldest child of my step-mom.
"I'll be fine Ady, I am an adult." I mumbled with conviction.
"Yeah, yeah, but what do you know?" He whispered, sounding defeated, and I sighed with resignation. He was right, I keep saying I am an adult but I barely know anything.
The only thing I know are the things I've heard in this house. I still don't know what my step-mom meant when she said I should perform well and please the Alpha supreme. Although I am aware we're being taken there to warm his bed, be is s'ex slaves, but what else am I supposed to do aside from just letting him have s*x with me?
I don't know what to expect outside the walls of this house. I know some people might treat me poorly because of my rank, but that's their choice and shouldn't affect me as a person or affect my character. As far as I know, I just need to please the Alpha supreme and I'll be fine.
"I hope you write to me when you get there," Adriel mumbled.
"I will find a way to." I didn't know how to write, because I was never allowed to learn, but Adriel taught me the basics of our language. How to read from the scrolls and how to write in simple words.
"I still don't know how you're all smiley about this. Have you even thought about meeting your mate?" Adriel asked and I turned to him with a frown.
"My mate? I am a half-breed, Adriel. Even omegas have a hard time finding their mates. Half-breed omega's don't get mates, and I've never thought about having one?" I answered him truthfully.
"It's everyone's dream to find their mates, they're our better half, your life would take a good turn if you find your mate." Adriel preached and I shook my head.
"No, that's a fantasy really. I would be happy if I got one, but I don't look forward to having one, neither am I banking my life on it. That would be stupid. Right now, I am being shipped off to warm the bed of an Alpha that I don't know. I'd rather just focus my thoughts on how to make that work and also how to adapt to the life outside this home." I told Adriel and he nodded.
"Just be safe, and don't blindly trust anyone. The girls in this pack are ambitious, be careful." Adriel advised, and I kissed the top of his face.
"I'll be fine, quit worrying, you should leave before mother comes in. I don't want you to get in trouble," I told him. We hugged one last time before he stood up and he went out of my room.
It wasn't even up to three minutes that he left and my step-mom barged into the room, looking at me with disdain.
"I don't like you, but your performance in the Arlo pack is important for this family. Do whatever you can to win the Alpha supreme's heart. You're not worth gold or silver, your body should at least bring honour to this family name. Open your legs when he wants you to and please him as much as you can. Do you understand?" She barked and I nodded.
"Good, stand up. The guards are here to collect you." I stood up, silently, and I followed her out of my room. She led me outside the house, to the guards waiting with some other girls in an open carriage.
"Good of you to join us, Alpha Keiser would be honoured." The guard said to my step-mom and she snorted, marching back inside the house, leaving me with them.
"Come here, little one." The guard motioned and I cast my head down frowning. I am not little and I do not like that he just called me little, but I can't do anything about it.
The guard helped me into the carriage but not before smacking my butt, making me jump in fright. I stepped on my dress, stumbling into the carriage. Some of the girls snickered as I fell on my knee, and only one of them stretched out her hand to help me.
"Are you okay?" She asked in a soft voice and I nodded.
"Thank you." I whispered, taking her hand and I sat beside her.
"My name is Hermione." She leaned close to my ear, whispering her name.
"Rhiamon." I whispered back and she smiled warmly at me.
She said something but I didn't pay attention as I caught the voices of the guards talking amongst themselves.
"You were right about her."
"I told you she's endowed, her rear is something to look forward to fondling in bed."
"Yeah, did you see how perky her breast stood on her chest?" The third voice snickered.
"The dress makes it impossible not to see. I envy Alpha Keiser. The son of a b***h would have all that to himself." Another guard complained with a scoff.
"Well, we won't arrive at the Arlo pack until dawn..."
"So?"
"That means we have the night to ourselves, no one would question if they're virgins or not." The voice of the guard who I remembered from earlier today said in a suggestive voice and I frowned.
"Man, that could get us in trouble."
"Stop being a wimp, no one would know. It will be nightfall soon. Make up your mind. Are you guys with me?" The guard asked and I heard a chorus of yes.
I looked at Hermione, wondering if I was the only one who heard them, and I saw she'd been listening to their conversation also.
"What are they planning to do at nightfall?" I asked, innocently. Whatever it is, I know they don't mean well.
"You don't know what they meant?" Hermione whispered and I shook my head.
"Just stay close to me. If they stop and tell us to get down, do not listen. Just do whatever I do." She whispered and I nodded. A sudden dread, clouding my demeanour.
