Oliver Bear Segel was shocked.
His eyes are wide, his lips are parted and he's just...stiff. The first thing to hit him was the feeling of disbelief because there's no other way he can describe what he was seeing.
Right in front of him, past the scattered clothes and right on their bed was his fiancée, Joseph Ealey and he wasn't alone. Bouncing on Joseph's d**k was Oliver's best friend, Ellie. She's got a hand grabbing her boobs and the other on Joseph's waist and... that wasn't all. Yes, Ellie was on Joseph's d**k, however, the icing on the cake was the strange man sitting on Joseph's face.
Olly wanted to scream as he watched his fiancé rim a stranger and f**k his best-friend. This had to be the bangfest of the year. Olly’s tears were already rushing forward but the funny thing was they didn't blur what he was seeing. None of them had heard him come in or maybe they had and just ignored it.
The second thing to hit him was anger.
His best friend since they were in diapers was riding his fiancé like it was her one goal in life. His fiancé eating out this blonde f*****g stranger and what made Olly's anger rise a notch were the groans and moans and before he could think twice about it, he grabbed the first thing his hand came in contact with and threw it. He watched the lamp slam into the bedside table and smashed into hundreds of pieces, successfully breaking up the ménage et trois happening.
Tears were rolling down Olly's cheeks now as he kept throwing things at the three of them. What had he done to deserve this? He's been engaged to Joseph for four years, he moved hours away from his parents because of the useless son of a b***h, he quit his job as a flight attendant because freaking Joseph wanted him to be at home more often and this is how the stupid ass repays him? Like this? f*****g his best friend and a stranger?
Disgusted.
Olly was f*****g disgusted. By his fiancé or should he say ex-fiancé now, his best friend and this stranger. Joseph tore himself away from the blonde stranger's ass and stared at Oliver with wide eyes, Ellie let out a loud scream and dragged the bedsheet until it covered her body while the stranger covered himself up with a pillow.
Olly stood there, dripping wet due to the pouring rain outside. His hair was flat against his head, his clothes were wet and it's not his fault. He had gone to work without taking an umbrella and when he had gotten the good news of him being a shoe in for the promotion at the small advertising agency he worked at, he ran home –excited to tell Joseph the news, when he had walked in on something that would scar him for the rest of his life.
"It is not what it looks like." Ellie cried, running a hand through her hair and Olly snorts in reply and began pacing the room, scowling at the pieces of clothing on the floor.
"So what? You were what? Sleep f*****g or did you slip and fall on his d**k too since we are using stupid ass excuses?" Olly spat, his scowl still present, his gaze on the blonde stranger.
"You don't have to be rude about it, y'know." The blonde stranger said and Olly tenses. He stares at the blonde then finally turns his gaze to Joseph who hadn't said anything, heck, the man didn't even look the least bit remorseful.
Ignoring the blonde bimbo, Olly asked Joseph. "You aren't going to say anything?" he gets no reply so he rephrases his question. "How long has this been going on?"
"About twelve months?" Ellie whispered. "It doesn't mean anything, it was just something fun."
"YOU SLEPT WITH MY FIANCE FOR FUN? WE'VE BEEN PLANNING OUR WEDDING FOR MONTHS AND YOU'VE BEEN f*****g FOR A YEAR?! FOR FUN?!"
"Olly-"
"No! Only friends and family call me Olly."
"Look man, you don't have to take this to hea-"
Olly cuts off the blonde stranger. "Who are you again?"
"I'm Ben? I work with Ellie at starbucks?"
Joseph slides out of the bed and walks to Olly as naked as the day he was born. Olly took in the crew cut, the brown eyes, the thick eye brows, the tanned skin, the flat stomach and right now, due to anger and disgust, his small d**k! He cannot believe he wasted four years of his life with this cheater.
"Babe, be calm. We can work this out."
Olly stared at Joseph with wild wide eyes. "There's nothing to work out. This thing has been going on between you three for a year. You lied to me for a year and you want me to work things out with you three? Are you out of your f*****g mind?"
"Olly..."
Olly sneers and punched Joseph, his fist hitting his ex-fiancé jaw, he ignored the shouting of Ellie and Ben the blonde as he punched Joseph again. He pulled the ring that was beginning to burn and threw it at the naked man on the floor.
"Do not all me, text me, look for me." Olly threatened and turned his glare from Joseph who was groaning on the floor to Ellie who was now crying hysterically, a hand still clutching the bed sheet to her naked self.
"The same goes for you too, Ellie. I hope his d**k was worth it."
"Olly please..." she sniffed and Olly rapidly blinked back the tears and shook his head. He takes one final look at the three naked people in the room and lets out a choked sob. He turned and made his way out of the room, down the sitting room, past the kitchen and out the door. The rain had reduced to a drizzle by the time he got out, clutching a black umbrella he had grabbed n his way out. He stands at the cub and let the rain mix with his tears before gathering the strength to snap open his umbrella. He turned and stared at the house he had spent his last three years in, he had a lot of fond, happy memories here but this, what he had just seen, just killed it all.
He turns away from the building and began to walk down the street, je just feels stupid and hurt. How could he not have known?
He had given it all to Joseph.
Moved away from his small apartment right by his parent's house, gave up his job as a flight attendant because Joseph had complained, because Joseph had kept saying Olly wasn't home all that much, had taken up a job as a bookshop keeper and lived on Joseph's cheap -manager of a restaurant- salary. He had given Joseph his heart, his body, his soul, his time and his loyalty, only for it to be thrown back to his face. The man didn't even apologize!
Olly stopped and the umbrella fell from his hand as he cried, his body shaking with it. The cold was sipping in, his clothes clung to him tighter, no one offered to help, people were in a rush trying to get home or trying to find a shelter, no one paid attention to the shaking crying man. How would he tell his parent he had broken off his engagement because he had caught Joseph cheating on him with a stranger and his best friend? And they claimed it was for fun? How would he explain it to them when he doesn't he even understand it yet?
He was startled out of his thoughts when he heard a loud honk he runs his hand down his face to get rid of some of the water so he could see. Parked in front of him was a yellow cab and staring at him through a rolled down window was a man with a snapback worn backwards and perched on his nose was a pair of ridiculously pink glasses.
"Hey! You need a ride?"
Olly sniffs and pats his pockets. "I don't have money."
"It's fine. Hop in, you must be freezing your socks off." The cab driver said and Olly does as he was asked, he opened the door and slid into the warm car and shuts the door.
"Thank you so much."
"Eh, it's nothing. I just couldn't ignore a man crying in the middle of the street while it was raining." The cabbie said, glancing at Olly through the mirror.
"I wasn't crying," Olly said defensively. "It's the rain."
"Yes, of course and I'm Angelina Jolie." The man said, his tone heavily laced with sarcasm.
Olly let out a snort as he stared at the cabbie. He took in the man's dark hair, his big brown eyes, small nose and perfectly shaped lips, his trimmed beard and the man truly was fifty shades of attractive but Olly couldn't focus on it. All he could think about was Joseph, Ben the stranger and f*****g Ellie. Without hesitating he whips out his phone and hits the speed-dial for Joseph. He needs to change that. Joseph picks after two rings and Olly places the call on speakerphone.
"Baby..."
Olly ignored the rise of the cabbie's left eyebrow and focuses on Joseph and the phone call. "What did they have but I didn't?"
Joseph sighs on the other end. "You are perfect, baby, trust me."
Cabbie snorted and shakes his head. The cab is still parked at the curb, the meter still running but Olly blocks it out because he just wants to know why.
"Then why? I gave you everything, my heart, my body, my time, Joseph." Olly cried, clutching his phone hard. His tears were rushing forward and he couldn't control his sniffles.
"You know what? I grew tired, okay? I grew tired of always telling you I love you! I grew tired of watching you apply stretch mark removal cream because why the f**k would a guy have stretch marks?! Ellie and Ben had something to offer, something smooth, something fantastic, Oliver."
Olly's eyes widened as Joseph's words sank in. He cheated on him because Ellie and Ben had smooth skin and no stretch marks. Olly wiped his tears off with the back of his hand, he lets out a choked sob and leans back against the chair, blinking repeatedly as he tried to slow down his tears.
"I wasn't what you wanted."
"No, you stopped being that a year ago, Oliver. I'm sorry you had to find out this way but I'm not sorry for seeing both of them."
Thousands and thousands of words were on the tip of Olly's tongue, he wanted to scream and shout, he wanted to scream until he loses his voice. He looks out the window and listened to the pitter patter of the rain against the window.
"Send my things to my parent's house, Joseph. My clothes and nothing else, no pictures, no shoes, just my clothes."
"A-Are you breaking up with me?"
Olly didn't hear the cabbie snort this time.
"What? Did you think I'd be okay with this? Did you really think I'd still marry you after this?"
"Olly, baby..."
"My parent's house, Joseph. Good luck with your ménage, I hope it goes well with all three of you."
Olly ends the call then and lets out a heavy sigh, he rubs his face with his hands. He still couldn't believe this, it felt like he was stuck in a bad dream but the thing is, it can't be a bad dream because he had seen it happen right in front of him, it had been going on for a year with his childhood best-friend, Ellie and Ben the stranger.
"So he seems like charmer."
The cabbie's voice startled Olly out of his daze. He looks away from the window and turns his attention to the cabbie who was staring at him with a raised brow.
"I keep calling you cabbie in my mind. What's your name?" Olly asked, trying to change the conversation that was coming. The cabbie seemed to hesitate for a few seconds before he finally replied.
"I'm Nick."
"I'm Oliver, but you can call me Olly."
"It's nice to meet you, Olly." Nick grins and Olly couldn't help but do it too. "So... you want to talk about it? It's good to share problems with a stranger because you'd never see them again and they might give good advice."
Olly snorts. "I don't think so."
Nick shrugs. "I don't like seeing you frown."
"You don't even know me."
"Yeah I don't but I know, you look better when you smile."
"Are you hitting on me?" Olly asked. "Because I don't think that's a good idea. We just met and I literally just broke off my engagement a few seconds ago."
Nick let out a soft laugh and shakes his head. "I was just saying. You have a body and face to die for but I was just saying the truth."
Olly stares at Nick. Not less than three minutes ago, his ex-fiancé was telling him he was tired of his stretch marks and here he is in a cab with a random cabbie that heard the entire conversation he had on the phone with Joseph and the same cabbie who was telling him how good he looks.
This could be his opportunity.
He's seen it in movies. He could sleep with the ridiculously handsome cabbie as a payback to Joseph, to show Joseph he could land someone better and hotter.
"Would you have s*x with me?" Olly blurted out and Nick was so surprised and shocked that he choked on air and began to cough. Olly clams his mouth shut as he reaches over the chair to pat Nick's back.
"You just can't say things like that, Oliver."
Heat spreads into Olly's cheeks. "I'm sorry, I didn't know how to and flirting is not one of my talents."
"Look, Oliver. I don't know the complete story but I know you're hurting but you sleeping with me will help nothing. I can distract you with other things though." Olly's eyes widened at that and it breaks a laugh out of Nick who immediately adds. "Non-s****l things, Olly."
"I'd really appreciate it."
Nick nods. "Good. Buckle up."
Nick puts on the radio and Rihanna's voice flit through the speakers as she sand about her wild thoughts. They talk about The Big Bang Theory as Nick drives. It's light and it takes Olly's mind off things a bit.
"Sheldon always cracks me up." Nick laughs as he drives, staring a peek at Olly through the rear mirror.
"I'm more of a Wolowitz fan. He's funny, awkward and actually understands things and doesn't make hot beverages for everyone."
They continue to drive until Nick parks in front of a small building with large floor length windows with pots of different flowers around it. It looked quaint, there was no sign outside and the streets were empty due to the rain and surprisingly so was the store.
"We are here." Nick said as he unbuckles his seatbelt.
"And where is here?" Olly asked just as Nicks opens the door, gets out of the car and opens Olly's door for him.
"It's an ice cream shop s***h book store."
Olly's eyes widened as he stared at the building in front of him. He turns his gaze from the building to Nick who was standing there with a smirk. Now that he was out of the cab, Olly noticed how tall Nick was, took in Nick's tight white shirt, black leather jacket and grey skinny jeans, he raises his gaze from Nick's chest to his face and was greeted with a smirk.
Olly feels his cheeks heat up and coughs, trying to will his awkwardness away. "S-so how did you find this place?"
"It's for a friend." Nick said as he pulls a set of keys from his pocket and unlocks the door to Olly's surprise.
Entering into the small building, Olly is enveloped by warmth. On the east side of the building were four shelves stacked with books, scattered around the center of the building were round tables with two or three chairs around it, on the west there was a large freezer pressed against the wall and the weird thing was there was although there was a counter with different sizes of bowls and cups arranged on it with a large plasma smart tv up on the wall.
"This is amazing."
It truly was, the air smelt sweet and as he takes his seat and Nick whips out his phone it finally hits him.
"This place isn't open, it's not for profit is it?"
"It isn't. Are you impressed?"
"Of course."
Nick laughs. "You are adorable. Why don't you head over to the freezer and pick any ice cream you want while I set up the tv. Any particular song you want?"
"Anything by Jon Bellion."
Olly shoves spoons of cotton candy flavored ice cream, cookie dough, cherry pie, white chocolate and kiwi and mixes it together and tops it with rainbow sprinkles. As he takes a seat, Jon Bellion's Maybe IDK came on.
"Is it okay if I do this?"
"Knock yourself out."
They talk until the Olly finishes his ice cream and that's when Nick pulls him up, smiling like a kid on Christmas.
"Ever tried dancing to kpop?"
Olly laughs. "I can't say I have."
"Well, be prepared to be blown away." Nick sings as he taps on his phone and a song comes on. It's a bit of reggae and pop and when the singer goes shimmy shimmy ko ko bop, I think I like it.... Olly falls for the song. He began to move his feet and his hips as he dances, he lets out a laugh as Nick wiggled his brow as he spun around and throws his hands up in the air.
If Olly or Nick moves closer as they dance, none of them notice until Olly was pressed against Nick, his need to feel something rising within him. Nick's hands fall to Olly's waist and he holds him tight as the other man moved his hips. The song changes from Ko Ko Bop to Diamond and when the singer goes, shinning shinning just like a diamond, blinding blinding you're like a diamond... Olly does this thing with his hips that made Nick bite his bottom lip to keep back a groan. They shouldn't be doing this, they both knew that but they couldn't stay away.
Olly spun around in Nick's arms and peaked at the man from his lashes, his curls going crazy now they've dried and Nick moves one hand from Olly's waist to push the stray curls behind his ear. They lean closer until just a toothpick length of space was left between them and Nick swallows. Olly's eyes were so green, they looked so beautiful framed by long dark lashes and no, he can't do this.
Nick leans back and runs his hands through his hair.
"We can't do this."
"W-what?" Olly gasped. "What's wrong? Is it me?"
Nick frowns and shakes his head, he wants to hold Olly by the shoulder and shake him while he screamed you just got out of a relationship! Olly stared at Nick with wide eyes. He had ruined it. Of course he did. He runs his hand through his curls as he stared at the man in front of him. First Joseph and now this stranger. Oh god.
"Ol-"
Olly shakes his head. "Sorry for coming onto you. I was just –" Olly sighs. "I'll be going now."
"Olly w-"
"I wasn't enough for Joseph and now I'm not enough for a stranger too. Fantastic!" Olly cries and before Nick could blink Olly was out of the door.
Like the fates were listening, the rain had stopped and Olly could run. His eyes were red rimmed and he was silently crying as he did, knowing Nick could drive up to him, he runs through an alley and comes out of the other side and flags down a cab. Immediately he was seated he gives the cabbie the address and unlike Nick, the cabbie was an older man with grey hair and glasses.
His day had gone from bad to worse. From being engaged to being cheated on and to top it off being rejected by a stranger. Olly leans his head against the window as he waits for the cab to take him to his parent's house and it took him a total of three hours for him to realize he had let his phone in Nick's cab.
