The thing that surprises me most about Nicole is that she had always seen herself as an introvert. She is definitely not. That girl loves to be around others and she naturally pulls them in. It's all genuine which makes everyone comfortable around her. I have even noticed pups taking the attention off of me and shifting it to her. Something she kind of embraces.
The shift is good for me. My dad told me a few weeks ago that I needed to be better about saying no and being okay with not pleasing everyone. Without having the attention on me, I feel more at ease to do that. Thanks to Nicole, I don’t feel the weight of everyone’s expectations. I’m content with being in the background and letting her shine.
“Why are you two always hanging out here like you don’t have somewhere to be?”
