“Wow! Another dead body,” he said.
All the officers surrounded David and one of them knelt down and looked into his eyes. David could not open his eyes because of the powerful torchlight rays on his face, but he managed to open his left eye a little later.
“Hey, are you hearing me,” the officer said. “What happened to you?”
Blood ooze from his mouth as he tried to respond.
“A group of armed men attacked me,” he said.
“Look, which way did they go?”

“Lieutenant, let’s rush this man to the hospital. He is definitely in great pain,” a junior officer said.
