That night Sebastian held Ava really close as they both slept. The events of the day made him realize that he didn’t want to lose her. He was too in love with her to let her go. So, he made a promise to himself that night. He was going to do everything within his power to protect her.
As the morning sun filtered through the curtains, casting a warm glow across the room, Sebastian stirred on the bed and noticed that the other side of the bed was empty which meant that Skylar was gone. The events of the previous day resurfaced and he felt his heart skip a thousand beats as he feared that Skylar was in pain. He quickly jumped out of the bed, ready to go outside and look for her but, the bathroom door opened and Ava stepped out with a towel wrapped around her.
