Metallic hands caught them as they fell, lifting them to a platform forming in the air. Stepping from the sea, a lavender dragon taller than the platform appeared. Its body was human in shape. A mishmash of fleshy skin, pulsing lights, and whirring cranks. Oddly…none of the machinery made noise.
Lowering its horns, the dragon grabbed a set of chains, tugging them hard.
A building of metal stairs seemed to melt into existence the same way the dragon had. At the top, a lighthouse sent green beams through the air.
Mewl smiled and waved to the dragon.
'Thank you for catching us Zaratheult. I had every confidence Mialtros could have made it to your location but, your coming to meet us saves time. We'll be on our way now.'
