"What? Why haven't you told me this earlier Kate?!" Zoe all but yelled at me when I told her about how Caleb was my new boss.
I didn't want to tell her at first but I needed to talk to someone. And she was the only one I could trust beside my mom.
"Calm down Zoe my mom might hear you." I tried to shush her.
"Your insane Kate. " She mumbled as she shook her head. "Do you like the feeling of hurt you get every time you see or talk to him?" She asked with exasperation.
I remained quite for a little while. "Of course not Zoe but how was I supposed to know he was going to be my boss?"
"Then you should've quit once you found out!"
"Did you forget how much I need this job right now? What about Ash Zoe? Who's going to provide for him if I stopped working?"
